I see Forlan scored two again for Atletico in a 4-0 opening day demolition. How come he was so very crap for us and has dominated in La Liga?

The guy has been in la liga for 4 years , the fact he scored 2 goals today means f'all.He has an amazing strike partner at atletico though.

nerver saw tha barca match today been out, Numancia ar newly promoted so will be good to see what they got to offer la liga.

This is why i love la liga and the same thing torres was saying overall la liga is the strongest as all teams poccess the quality to take the cup.

My points on this debate.

UEFA cup is a great compeition. If a team does poor one season, that doesnt mean they are a bad team. This is very evident on how Zenit owned United. Zenit are laying 5th in the Russian league! 5th!!!!!

The pre season game AC Milan played, they never played with a strong squad. Alot of key players never played.

With that said, i still state that the UEFA cup is a quality cup and is overshadowed by the Champions League. Then again, i love football and i love watching quality football, thats why i will not brand the UEFA cup as less quality than the CL.
 
What stupid attempt by him, he looks like a basketball player.
The funny thing was the rest of the team congratulated him on scoring until the card came out.

Now we have the opportunity to take advantage of Chelsea's slip up and get back on top of the log. With Tottenham signing Pavlyuchenko, im pretty sure we will have Berbatov playing along side Rooney on the 13th. By end of September, we will have our hitman Ronaldo back too, not forgetting Carrick,Hargreaves & Giggs within the next week or so. Bring it on Chel$ea.

We also slipped up with a draw on the first day, so if we in our game in hand, we're equal on points with them. Also, the transfer window closes today or closed yesterday. What were you saying about the 13th?

It is true, we do not look great. If we don't get BBT today then things are not gonna improve a whole lot.

Manchester City are reported to have launched an audacious attempt to sign Dimitar Berbatov from under the noses of city rivals Manchester United following their takeover by an Abu Dhabi investment group.

With Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment understood to have agreed a deal to buy City from the disgraced Thaksin Shinawatra on Sunday night, the Manchester Evening News reports that a 'dramatic 11th hour bid for United's number one target Dimitar Berbatov' has been sanctioned.

The newspaper claims that the Abu Dhabi group's 'first instruction to the Blues was to try and lure Berbatov for a reputed £28m.'

The Bulgarian is nonetheless expected to complete his long-awaited transfer to Manchester United later today with other reports suggesting that Frazier Campbell will be used as a makeweight in the deal.
