Evans looked pretty solid if you ask me. I'd play him in the middle and Neville G on the wing if I were Fergie.

Evans was solid but was he ever tested ?

Neville is totally finished and should hang up his boots. Every opportunity we had from the right, Neville either crossed poorly or slowed down the attack. He also didnt keep with 'the man' who almost scored the goal for Villareal.

IF neville is played on Sunday, there is no chance in hell MUnited will win.

That is crazy talk man. They are just not out and out strikers and more. Which is why we bought BBT. If Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo and BBT get to start on Sunday it could a thing to behold

Brown is ok in the middle but I swear I have seen him make like two good crosses his whole career.

no, they are way over-rated, and even against a weakened Villareal team, they were ineffective. The only time they show a little quality is when Ronaldo plays.

I think United look better when Ronaldo plays but that does not detract from the quality of the rest of the team as is.

Like merc says, give it a bit of time. A good result on Sunday could be just the kick-start our season needs.

Now that comment nailed it. Season after season we start poorly, and what happens at the end... you know exactly

Reading earlier comments, problems do exist with Gary and Wes. But what are we doing about it? Will youngsters solve it? New purchase mabey? I don't know.

But then last season tells me, hey.... we had brown and still won the EPL and CL. Wait Wait, but thats coz Uncle Cressy was there right!

After seeing Bosingwa play for chelski, something like that is what I'd want! Great pace, Good defening, and brilliant crossing.

But naa, do we really need a bosingwa when Uncle Cressy is der.

I think Yes Uncle Cressy makes a big impact on G&W's play. And we need not replace them, what we maybe would like is "that-little-bit-extra" that a player like bosingwa gives, but do we need it?

is coz thats all we need, then no eyes would be that stringent on our right-backs anymore.

It does make you think though, has the brilliance of Ronaldo really made us forget our other positions??? Scary..
