OH FFS, we're dealing with idiots here. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF GIGGS TOUCHED THE BALL OR NOT. IF VDS KICKED THE BALL OUT AND RONALDO GOT THE BALL, THEN HE WOULD HAVE BEEN OFFSIDE ANYWAY. WHAT'S SO FCKN HARD TO UNDERSTAND???!!! THE LINESMAN IS AN IDIOT AND SO ARE YOU! TYPICAL ARROGANCE. MARTIN TYLER WAS THE COMMENTATOR, WHO IS PROBABLY THE BEST ON TV AND EVEN HE SAID IT WAS A REALLY TIGHT/ODD CALL. Here, go learn the offside rule - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sportacademy/hi/sa/football/rules/newsid_3632000/3632335.stm
hahahahahah:D:D:D
GO LEARN THE OFFSIDE RULE!!!
You expect to make a point but you dont even understand the simplest of football rules.

You can't be offside if you receive the ball directly from a goal kick, a throw-in or a corner

Nani gets his reward

Nani says his glorious strike at Pride Park which set the Reds on their way to a 4-1 FA Cup victory over Derby is the result of hard work on the training pitch.

The Portguese winger put United ahead on 29 minutes with a right-foot rocket which fizzed past Rams goalkeeper Stephen Bywater.

It was Nani's sixth goal of the season and another spectacular effort to add to his collection of long-range stunners.

"It was a beautiful goal and I'm very happy to score," he told MUTV. "I have been working hard on my shooting in training every day and I was very pleased to see this one go in.

"I'm happy to have scored six goals but I want to score more. I expect to get more opportunities and hopefully I will get more goals."

Sir Alex made seven changes to the side that secured a 1-0 victory at West Ham last weekend, but the players that came in, including Nani, slotted in seamlessly.

"The squad is very strong and everyone can play a part," added the 22-year-old. "When the manager decides to change things around he knows that every player is ready to do well for the team."

And Nani feels that strength in depth is vital to the Reds' quest for trophies.

"It will be difficult to win everything because you're not going to play well all the time," he reasoned. "But we are doing well at the moment and hopefully we can keep that going.

"We want to win every competition we're in and we will do our best to do that."

hmmm will hard work and training pay off?

HAHAHAHAHAH so say you something that was a legit offside should be given because first you claim its not offside then you claim "I've seen it been given many times. Many times."
hahahaha

Just to derail this really stupid discussion... has anyone of you mancers got any idea on when we will see Tosic play? Heard good things about him (not to mention I bought him regular-like in my Footy manager games:)) from some friends and wondering if he is going to be given any chances/soon...?

Don't know but I've seen him play once recently.

When was that? Was he any good?

EDIT: Naturally taking into consideration that it was his first game in English competition

I have no idea which game, but it was within the last month or so. He hardly played so it's hard to tell. He came on for a bit.

He was ok, he didn't seem nervous I thought, went stright into the job. I don't think that he was given an adequate amount of playing time to rate his performance properly.

Tosic made his debut in an FA Cup Fourth Round match against Tottenham Hotspur when he came on as a 72nd-minute substitute for Cristiano Ronaldo. His league debut was when he came on as a 77-minute substitute for Dimitar Berbatov in United's 5–0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

Wenger, meanwhile, reckons we are untouchable. :)

Arsene Wenger once led team of self-styled invincibles to a season without defeat, but the Frenchman has conceded that Sir Alex Ferguson's current Manchester United side could be the new "untouchables".

United sit two points clear of Liverpool with a game in hand at the Barclays Premier League summit, with Arsenal a worrying 12 points off the pace in fifth.

Wenger, whose Gunners side went unbeaten in 2003/04, is refusing to give up on having a say in the title race but admits the Red Devils are currently some distance clear of the pack.

The two-goal return of Croatia striker Eduardo after a year out in Monday night's 4-0 FA Cup fourth-round replay win over Cardiff gave Arsenal fans reason for cheer, but Wenger has warned that long-time rivals United will take some stopping.

"We are on a very strong run at the moment and we have promised to give everything until the last day of the season but at the moment Manchester United look untouchable," confessed the Arsenal boss.

"They are 12 points ahead of us and they have a game against Fulham which they will certainly win. If they win that they are 15 points in front and that means they need to lose five games.

"Let us say they lose one against us, that still leaves four. They still need to lose four other games, which they haven't done yet this season.

"But our basic target is to get into the Champions League and therefore the championship remains a priority."

I would agree that you are untouchable as far as the league is concerned, but "Untouchables" untouchable... That will take some time to trump...

Makes the CL all the more exciting!:D

hmmm I don't understand what Wenger is on about... untouchable by Arsenal = true but Liverpool is just at the back door... even if United loses 5 match there's still Liverpool who is 13 points ahead along with Chelsea and Aston Villa... he's seriously lost his mind if he thinks he can win the League whilst in 5th position

Maybe its an attempt to keep his team motivated...i dunno:o
But yeah he has lost his mind....I mean claiming ""They are on a very strong run at the moment"- is pretty strong evidence:D

Fulham are going to have to sort themselves out in the 2nd half to avoid a hiding...

20 more mins for vd Sar :)
