The Mass Effect 3 thread

I am going to go for the traditional RPG style for the first play through. then the action style on the follow up.

This is from My Gaming:
Mass Effect 3 has three game modes, suited to your preferred play style:

Action Mode takes away manual narrative pathways and instead lets you focus on combat and battles. That means the story plays out automatically, and you simply handle technical fighting.

Story Mode is the exact opposite, giving you full control over the branching conversations, while down-playing combat.

RPG Mode is the traditional play-style (similar to that found in Mass Effect 2) that strikes a balance between action and story.

I opted to choose action, not really into the whole "RPG" experience, and happy with my decision so far. I gather you guys have to select answers etc in order to progress through the game like it was with ME 1 and 2 ? Because I just right-click with my mouse and the game progresses without needing to choose any responses, which I like.... a lot ! :D

You see, that's excatly what I don't want.....
I need to be the controlling factor in the game, I can sit for a few hours going through all the loot and checking stats and comparing and deciding which weapon will work best in which situation...... i'm a RPG man by heart.

Same with the conversation, I enjoy that part of the game, as it was with Dragon Age as well.

What can I say...... I can sometimes be as fussy as hell. :D

I could've sworn that you read my mind with that response :D
I'll always be involved and make the decisions.... What I've enjoyed specifically with the ME series was your interactions with other characters. If I didn't like a fella I was talking to, my responses indicated that.

The customisation takes me ages in multiplayer as well.... I probably spend 30+ mins just going over how each weapon effects power recharge vs damage vs range. Then there's the mods you can put on.... And then powers :D

WOOP WOOP WOOP!!

At least you got a call. I haven't received a call or the game yet, meaning that I'm gonna have to delay feeling sick :(

Can't wait for my local Musica to get it in stock. I have played ME2 on my PC but really want to play it on the PS3 this time. Hopefully stock will arrive today :(

Sent from a galaxy far, far away...

Got it installed! Just waiting for it to download an update (51.9mb) and then there goes my weekend :p

The PS3 version apparently suffers from terrible framerate issues. If you can play it on the Pc, rather do that. Then you can also import your ME2 savegame and continue with all your decisions made in that game.
