Tried a little multiplayer with one of the forumites yesterday afternoon, it was awesome having a local ping! Any other Xboxers out there should seriously squad up with us! Awesome times shall be had by all.

I finally got my copy yesterday evening after having it get lost in transit between Jhb and Natal
Jumped straight in to multiplayer. The new enemies seem a lot tougher to bring down. I played 2 games and got my Soldier (BF3 unlocked one ) to level 7 if I recall. I seem to be a long way off already but still having fun!

I definitely want to give singleplayer a go soon though. I always enjoyed the 'heroics' you pull off during the campaign and I'm sure there will be some good one's in ME3!!

Oh, I go as Phr8er in Origin for those who wish to add me.

Lol that was me. The other randoms who joined in just kept dying

Seems like they ramped up the difficulty since the demo. That one game when it was just the both of us, we would have gotten a lot further than the 6th wave.

One question, the Collectors edition is supposed to come with a Sniper rifle, SMG, Shotty and Pistol.... where is the unlock for that? I got the Argus rifle code from Takealot, but that seems something different?

On that note, I claimed my code in Origin and it told me it had downloaded, but can't find it in-game... Am I missing something?

I used a code on the top of a pamphlet that ALSO had a code for the DLC.

But that was for the Xbox version.

I'm not so concerned about the ending. The thing to remember is that this is somebody's piece of art, this is the direction they imagined it to go. In any event, for me Mass Effect has always been about the journey rather than the result.

Ah that is perhaps what I missed. I saw the code for DLC but it said something about a new character so just left it out. Will try claiming and see what happens.

I'm not so concerned about the ending. The thing to remember is that this is somebody's piece of art, this is the direction they imagined it to go. In any event, for me Mass Effect has always been about the journey rather than the result.

They changed a perfectly good ending to the piece of crap they gave us because of a leaked script a few months back.

Trust me, I know, the games themselves are brilliant, however, the ending will just depress you and make you feel like a lot of the decisions you made were for nothing.
If you sufficiently get enough war assets, you are presented with a crap, crappier or the crappiest ending to choose from.

This ^^ is 100% true. But i've read that is a secret ending on a 2nd playthrough. I don't know how accurate that is, but it's everywhere on the Bioware social forum. I just don't know if I have the heart to play it again :/

Well if people didn't moan endlessly about the ending(s) in the leaked script, or MS didn't fsck up with the Xbox Live thing, then they wouldn't have had to rush to change things. You need to play multiplayer to increase your galactic readiness.

Of course I agree... If it were up to me, I'd hang that hacker.. If you read the original ending, sounds WAY better ..
It just seems that to placate the few that complained about the original ending, they made it worse. You will see what I mean, there seems to be a continuity issue and some of the story in ME1 and ME2 that were going to lead up to the original ending doesn't matter anymore and makes you feel it was all for naught.

That being said, I still loved it, even if the ending fell very short.

If that's the "special ending" then I'm still disappointed.. I got that ending too.

nope, i got it on 1st playthrough that cutscene. The 2nd playthrough has a much better ending... drum roll..

mind you mine was imported

I'm guessing I'm fairly alone in not having even created a SP character yet....
I will definitely get to singleplayer, but right now I'm enjoying multiplayer.

On that note.... I hate Banshee's!!
