The Mass Effect 3 thread

Cool I'll be on tonight, let's do it guys! Maybe a few Silvers and a couple of Golds :)

The Salarian Engineer is my new best friend! Distract with a decoy and then attack with Incinerate and Power Drain :D
 
a bit annoyed that playing multiplayer coop influences single player

other than that, awesome

Bud just need to say sorry, I've missed both your invites due to my disabling (no longer disabled) of the Origin overlay. Sadly it seemed to be the only way to get the game to launch in 3D. I'm mostly playing normally now though so overlay is enabled.

You'll most likely find that the difficulty of Silver depends largely on your team. Play with a bad team and it may seem impossible. Play with a good team and it can feel as easy as Bronze :)

I tried one Gold match.... got to level 6. Need to find a functional way of killing 6+ Phantoms quickly... I can't get my Soldier to 'stun' them - even with Concussive shot spamming every 1.5 secs :(
 
Anyone on PC up for some silver games tonight? I'll be on from around 7:30 til late :)

Also, anyone else have "fun" getting stuck in cover? I was trying to put some distance between myself and a banshee last night, went like this: try to run, get stuck in cover, get up, move a couple of steps, get stuck in cover again, get killed by banshee... might as well have just sacrificed myself at the start :p

Don't stress, I just spam everyone in my friends list when we trying to fill a lobby. Decided I need better guns so I've been playing bronzes mostly to get some bucks and level up my guys.
 
There's currently a special on Jumbo equipment packs for 33,000 credits. Good time to stock up on rockets, medi-gel, survival packs, ammo and bonuses before the special ends.

That was insane - one wave was just Geth Primes and Pyros surrounding us from all sides. Decoys are a blessing on Gold. And mics definitely help in coordinating everything.
 
I agree, a mic is a must have on Gold! Otherwise everyone runs off like lukewarm egg white on a hot skillet.

Grats bud!! Farthest I've been into Gold now is Wave 7... I don't know if it's conenctions dropping (happened to me on 2 occasions), but we always seem to have a team of 3 by that stage.

Have to agree with a previous post, decoys and drones are pretty much a must.

Hey guys

Can anyone confirm whether the DLC is available for us today??

On a sidenote, is that soldier class as valuable in a mission as ANY of the others?? The reason I ask is (bar the Krogan), soldiers always seem to be outperformed by other classes. When I play as an Adept or Infiltrator, I always perform better.... yet I enjoy the Soldier more. I know it shouldn't be all about score, but unless I have an unskilled team, my BF3 Soldier normally comes in 3rd... at best second.

The most fun I had though was with the Turian Soldier using Marksman and the Revenant :D AWESOME!!
 
It's supposed to be worldwide, so we should be able to get it today, in fact, it should be available in the next hour or so.

I do ok with the soldier in bronze, was top scorer with a lvl 2 BF3 soldier last night. Just make heavy use of the nades as the enemy spawns, possible to wipe out most of the wave in a few seconds.
 
I can't play soldier, absolutely suck at it cos I need powers to bring down shields/barriers/armour to supplement the shooting :D On Gold, soldiers and vanguards are probably the two worst classes to play as.

Ja not my favorite by a long shot... also struggle with vanguard (the guy that rushes forward)

Yeah Bronze is cool. There the soldiers powers are useful, but on silver and up they just don't seem to have the necessary damage. The nade spam at the beginning of each round is cool :D

The Vanguard is probably the most annoying class for me to play with.... Biotic jump RIGHT INTO MY LINE OF SIGHT!!!!!! But agree'd with your points!
