Title is best used for what I am may be trying to get at, so basically, if you were able to live inside of your mind only(like lucid dreaming) would you? If you had the chance to give up what you had now physically (well we could be living in a dream now) for a life you could make up in your head would you take that chance, so basically you would be on life support for the rest of your life just to keep your mind active because your body would ofcourse be of no use anymore, I would like to live in a world where I can create my own politics, well actually no none, have my own economy, well basically just live a stress free life, and being able to wake up each morning and not having to worry, and just be able to do things I enjoy and make me happy, how many can actually say that they are happy on a day to day basis, this is why I enjoy gaming, it is an esacape from the world I live in for that hour.

I won't take what i've said very seriously, there are alot of flaws to it, alot of contradictions etc. but it's nice to have it run through your head, I mean realistically it might sound stupid.

Maybe if I knew I had a wild imagination, or if they put me on some kind of hallucinogenic drip but as it stands my mind is way more boring than real life... add to that that everyhthing you experience is something you've thought of and it becomes boring pretty quick.

I think it might be fun for a while... but you would get frustrated by the lack of reality. You need antagonists in your story or it gets boring.

Would you know you are in this "dream world" because that might put a damper on things.

There is only fork.

There is no spoon

I give you... The spork.

im not understanding exactly ... are you saying if we had the chance to put ourselves in this state willingly ?

If so then no.

My brain cannot comprehend the emotions and actions of others. No one can tell what the other person is thinking or is like, that fact is barely known to oneself. Hence any world I create with my mind or any machine will not be able to simulate the real world with the same randomness. People will be too similar, I would lose my identity in a place like that. Without that randomness and unpredictability life becomes boring, nothing but a routine, sure it would be entertaining to be a billionaire ect but you will realise its not real its out of place. When you return having your fun your body might be so damaged from stasis you may not be able to live again easily in the real world.

The unknown and finite time is what makes life beautiful and interesting, take it away and you nothing but a program (wake up eat s**t traffic work eat work traffic eat sleep). Its also why I wouldnt want to live forever either, though I wouldnt mind have a lifespan of a thousand years

My mind isn't very fun. But I wouldn't mind spending some time in someone elses. Jeremy Carkson would be first on the list.

Like stated earlier - if I knew it was my own world, it'd become rather drab after a while.
I'd like to be able to step out of it and come back to reality.

Also, controlling an entire plain of existence seems like a bit much.
Its quite an intricate thing, I imagine :)
