The Maw and Gamertag

Fantastic little game, BUT thanks to MS being incredibly slow those of us that downloaded the extra mission (for 100MS points) and finished it before the 20th of Feb do not have the Achievement. While my Xbox states the game has 215 Achievements points to it and I have all of the Achievements, the latest one, while reflecting that it has been unlocked, does not fill in the last 15 points or add to my Gamerscore.

Apparently the fix for this is to recover your gamertag and then play The Maw. You will then have the points added to your profile. Now we have a problem. I've tried this method over and over and being in SA my Live account has UK postal code. When it tells me to enter my Live ID and password it then checks and says that the locations don't match. Anyone else come across this and what can be done to recover my gamertag?

i recovered my gamertag recently when i moved my profile to a friends 360 and forgot ot move it back!
He lives an hour away and was not in the mood to drive back there for my profile.

I logged on and recovered my tag quite easily.
The details they ask are the details you used to create your LIVE account so it needs to be the same e-mail address and PIN otherwise it will not work.

It is very easy!

Thing is I've been inputting the exact details for my Live account over and over and over and it still gives some sort of location error.

hmmmm...
that is quite odd...I used my gmail account to subscribe to LIVE and the same PIN and it worked fine.
You can normally give them a call and they are very helpful.

Okay I fixed it. While my gamertag is registered in the Uk, my Windows Live account was set to SA. Just needed to set it to UK and it worked.

Man do I feel like an idiot
