In the new row, the makers of a documentary by independent broadcaster ITV about an Alzheimer's sufferer admitted that their programme did not, as initially claimed, show the man's actual death.
The programme, Malcolm And Barbara: Love's Farewell, triggered an ethical debate after it was reported that it would be only the second time that an actual death would be screened on British television.
