I haven't been reading this paper but went there to see their take on the Rammulotsi toilet saga.

Not a word to be seen!

So would I be correct in saying it is indeed an ANC mouthpiece or is their reporting generally unbiased ?

They're an ANC mouthpiece, no question about it.
They do post negative news about the ANC but they are still in the stages where they need to build up some credibility?
We probably wont see anything wrt Rammulotsi though, thats probably where the line is drawn

I find the new age website annoying. Popup to "subscribe" and the main page feels very much a mess. I find the news24 entertaining, the mg tends to do some hard hitting investigations every now and then rather than just re-hashing the same old [which is nice]. New age feels just to immature and needs some time to "grow up" - but I agree, it seems that some news gets "lost" on the website so that it's mostly positive news. I generally just go to the timeslive to see an alternative zapiro cartoon. Timeslive comments on news is very disturbing and hateful.

What we need is newspapers that give credit where is due and criticize where is wrong. In the meantime I will continue to read the sport section of the newspapers, at least that's where I find good news i.e. balanced.
