that seems to be the average result now for me on iburst. Thanks iburst... you remind me of sentech.

How many more threads are you going to start over this?? If you hate it so much switch to another service.

Why should he move to get what he paid for since there has to be some problem with iburst in his area and they should sort it out.

if he is so unhappy with iburst... then he might as well switch to telkom.... since he does not like sentech.. if he still complains... then he should go and live in Tshwane

I second what Halicon says. I used to get good service (even around 4 weeks ago) but now everything seems stuffed. This is pathetic.

If the service have been working fine and all of a sudden detiriorate, there is no need to move/migrate to another service, the service provider should be able to resolve the problem.

In most cases they have picked it up as there are thread raised on these forum with a subscriber complaining about something [speed, B/S or billing] and the problem get sorted out.

I agree that it's not his fault if nothing has chaged on his side. If that's the case iBurst should try and sort it out.

What area are you in and what is your signal strength?

I'm in Kempton. Signal dropped from 90% to 10~20%. Tried moving the UTD all over my property, and never go past 20%

thats the thing. it has been a steady degradation of speed. My signal strength is good. As i have mentioned before if i were any closer to my tower i would get cancer (sic).

my signal strength is -66db. Speed is sparratic.

Have you tried using an external antenna?

What about asking iBurst to come out and do a signal test? If they get the same results as you do, then they should give you a reason for the sudden drop.

What load is it showing on the tower? I'm assuming you are using utTraceStar

using iConnect. I will try utTraceStar tommorrow see what it has to say.

Also going to give iBurst a call and speak to a technician to see if they can check the tower... they have before.

Is there anyone else in your area that is having the same problem? If so, ask them to post their results too.

Anyone around you experienced the same loss in signal strength? If yes, then it's probably a problem on the tower, and iBurst must come and check it. If not, it may be that your UTD has gone faulty

hmm, thats an option. Ive heard of UTD's messing up before.

But I have also been experiencing a degrading service. However mine has got better over the last few weeks. Maby yours will go back up too if you ask Iburst aboutit. Chances are they dont know about your problems, you shouldnt just moan on a forum and expect things to happen. *talking in general, not to you halicon.

Hope things go better for you, otherwise ADSL will obviously be a much better optiuon for you.

What other options have you started to look at?
