Hey guys
I've setup a left 4 dead server running a few mods and plugins, its really fun.
This is whats on it:
1) Survivor upgrades:
Laser sight is automatically given. (to turn it on or off type !laseron or !laseroff into chat)
At the start of a round, 2 random upgrades are given to each player.
When a witch is killed, if someone was recognized as the primary attacker, that one player gets 1 random upgrade.
When a tank is killed, if someone was recognized as the primary attacker, that one player gets 1 random upgrade.
2) Pounce Announce
Announces pounces to everyone incl distance if its from a distance (total damage remains 25)
3) Snare Speak
Snare Speak enables voice-chat across team boundaries when a survivor is subdued by an infected. The infected that snared the survivor can speak to the snared survivor, and the snared survivor can speak to the infected that snared him. This does not destroy the connection a player has with his own team, it only creates an additional duplex channel between the snaring infected and the survivor. This lasts the duration of the snare, and then the communication channel is closed.
4) Spectator Team
Unlimited team switches!
5) The unrest mod
Zombie hordes are 50 in size instead of 30.
Smoker tongue range increased 25%
Smoker pull is almost instantaneous
Survivors being dragged accelerate much faster (other survivors cannot catch up to them, but are instead forced to attack the smoker)
Better chance of pulling a survivor who is running around a corner
Incapped survivors can crawl
Hunter claw does 8 instead of 6
Max hunter pounce damage is 50 instead of 25. This scales correctly, so what is normally a 20 damage pounce is still a 20 damage pounce, not 40. For more than 25, you'll have to go pretty high.
You can have to up 3 smokers and 2 boomers. This way, the survivors never know what they are up against. And, in 7v7 games, this equates to pure chaos.
Tanks are 7% faster.
When there are more than 6 survivors, when a tank comes, a second one will immediately spawn. Both will be controlled by human players (no AI).
Overall, this makes the game MUCH faster paced, and much harder to finish as a survivor. In my experience, teams make it to the safe room about half as often.
6) VS infected bots
You can now play versus alone until human players enter the game! with the unrest mod you wont even know the difference!
The Death Aboard maps are also loaded.
I just need a way to enable voting for gravity, all talk and map changing to the public and not just admins. (maybe someone here can help?).
