NZ hit 271 in 42 over against India, shows you how poor the Indian bowling attack really is. We are in for a rude awakening against Aus I'm a afraid, i think our bowling's on par with Australia, and its going to be a question who has the strongest batting line up, on paper i think we are better, inconsistency will probably be our down fall.

1st match 358, second 280 and the third 301.
Whats your point?, How shtty India's bowling is?

Yeah, especially in ODI's

We are going to need our batsmen to fire on all cylinders and our bowlers to be 100% disciplined.

In our favour, it's spinners that we really don't like.

The Aussies have potentially got one of the best ODI sides I've ever seen, as far as tests go, we should take them.

Batting wise we're better, it may come down to how well we play their spinner.
I suspect we will be attacking him big time. The Aussies will do likewise.

Hence im saying it will boil down to our batsman, time for Faf, JP and Alviro to proof their worth. I think Mitchell Johnson is currently the most feared bowler in world cricket.

Their bowling has been below par. They have conceded 300 on quite a few occasions recently

Couple of surprises in the team selection. Australia hand debuts to both batsman Chris Lynn and legspinner James Muirhead. No David Warner for them or Shane Watson, both rested for this series.

Australia 1. Aaron Finch, 2. Cameron White, 3. Glenn Maxwell, 4 George Bailey (capt), 5 Chris Lynn, 6 Dan Christian, 7 Moises Henriques, 8 Matthew Wade (wkt), 9 Nathan Coulter-Nile, 10 Josh Hazlewood, 11 James Muirhead

England bring in several fresh faces in Michael Lumb, Alex Hales, Luke Wright, Jade Dernbach and spinner Danny Briggs.

England 1 Michael Lumb, 2 Alex Hales, 3 Luke Wright, 4 Joe Root, 5 Eoin Morgan, 6 Jos Buttler (wkt), 7 Ravi Bopara, 8 Tim Bresnan, 9 Stuart Broad (capt), 10 Jade Dernbach, 11 Danny Briggs

Already off to a brisk start are the Aussies.

Australia 213/4 (20.0/20 ov) with Cameron White and Aaron Finch doing the damage up front. Given their start, the Poms will feel somewhat relieved that they're only chasing 214 for a win.

Lovely innings from Bopara, a new career top score for him in international T20s, but he was left with far too much work to do after the top order failed and England have lost again, Australia taking this opening T20 by 13 runs. That England made 200 in reply shows what could have been achieved but their batting wasn't up to scratch at all. By contrast Australia had big innings from Cameron White and Aaron Finch at the top of the order and their middle order cameo - from debutant Chris Lynn - has basically won them the game in the end. Not a day for the bowlers.

Credit to Bopara for a huge effort. Unfortunately he needed support at the other end to get over the line.

Let's get to the toss...up goes the coin, Stuart Broad calls tails, it lands correctly and England will bat first. Broad is slightly relieved that the boundaries are a touch larger here. Broad's 50th T20 for England - the first player to bring up the landmark for England. One change, James Tredwell replaces Briggs.

England 1 Michael Lumb, 2 Alex Hales, 3 Luke Wright, 4 Joe Root, 5 Eoin Morgan, 6 Jos Buttler (wkt), 7 Ravi Bopara, 8 Tim Bresnan, 9 Stuart Broad (capt), 10 Jade Dernbach, 11 James Tredwell.

George Bailey would have batted too and he confirms the return of Brad Hodge after 2,075 days! Mitchell Starc is also back after a long time having suffered with injury.

Australia 1 Aaron Finch, 2 Cameron White, 3 Brad Hodge, 4 Glenn Maxwell, 5 George Bailey (capt), 6 Chris Lynn, 7 Matthew Wade (wk), 8 Mitchell Starc, 9 Josh Hazlewood, 10 Nathan Coulter-Nile, 11 James Muirhead.

I'd hate to be an English cricket supporter right now. Dark times for them. 42/3 after 5.4 overs.
