The official Battlefield 4 thread

"To show our appreciation for your patience as we work through these issues, we are announcing that from November 28 through December 5, we will reward all players with Double XP for every multiplayer match they complete. We understand that the launch issues may have impacted your progression, and we want to do everything we can to help you get back the XP that you may have lost. Also, to cap off the week, on December 5 we will give all players that log in to Battlefield 4 multiplayer a M1911 pistol scope. This special sidearm scope, previously reserved for our DICE developers, has a 3X zoom and is available for all classes in Battlefield 4"

I am missing the thing where you could see WHAT players are on a server :(

same for seeing at what stage the map is, ie in a RUSH game you could see how many MCOM's has been destroyed or is left
 
The whole of yesterday my game just keeps freezing, then I have to kill it in task manager. Each time it happened to me and 2 friends at exactly the same moment.
 
I now regularly get a DirectX error about the graphics device being removed :wtf:

DirectX dialog then states it's a design time issue which "should be fixed". :p
 
Does anyone know if the XP boosts apply for an hour from activation or an hour of actual gameplay?

I suspect some of the crashes are caused from server side bugs ie. not your computer hardware or setup. Since I've seen my computer and my SO's freeze at exactly the same time while on the same server as well as a friend on the other side of the city.

Not that I know of, but almost every time my game crashes I can see the amount of people on that server page drop by like 5 or so, sometimes even a lot more, so something must have happened to them as well.

I mean what are the chances of the game crashing for a whole bunch of people at the same moment.

That's my suspicion :D

had that exact same thought this morning, but I think it is from activation.

will maybe try a 25% boost and see if it is.
