The official Mikrotik router thread

I believe MU-MIMO and beamforming is part of WifiWave2. The hAP ax² ships with that package pre-installed.

Setup was dead simple and no issues with the router thus far. Wireless connections seem to be rock solid. Reception is a bit worse than the TP-Link I had before, but that had 4 external antennas.
 
Just wondering, if any one know if you can view peers DNS in PPPoE interface without using it?
I don't see anywhere where you can get more info on a PPPoE Service outside of just the scan.

PPPoE is a Layer 2 protocol. You can only access further layers once authenticated.

So i'm very new to routerOS I was a lot more familiar with EdgeOS.
But I also worded the question poorly, so EdgeOS, once you were authenticated you could see the PPPoE DNS.
Even tho I wasn't using peers DNS, thats what I am hoping to do.

I thought it was a dont ask, dont tell scenario, so that info just isnt there, but could be horribly wrong.

Is authenticating with peer enabled, seeing what it is, then just disable, an option?

Maybe you can see the data exchanged in logging, but I still think its not there as you never ask for it. The way this is worded also seems to be that way.

use-peer-dns (yes|no; Default: no)enable/disable getting DNS settings from the peer
 
I picked up one of those blue and white hAP units at a thrift store the other day. Nothing wrong with it of course. I need to configure it in a peculiar way- I want to basically turn it into a WiFi client with NAT so that I can access my GoPro camera from my computer and not have to use their crappy app or have to dismantle the camera out of its frame to remove the SD card. I can make a diagram of what I need including IP addresses. Would anyone be able to advise me, because it's basically something I've never done with Mikrotik

hap
Wireless client to gopro AP - IP address assigned by gopro i.e 172.16.8.x
Ether1 to your router 192.168.2.1

Router
Etherx to hap 192.168.2.2
route all 172.16.8.x traffic to hap 192.168.2.1

Like you said the gopro has no default route so you will need to nat all traffic going out the hap wireless interface

Create the tunnel, dont add a default route, add the IP address you want to go via that tunnel. Add a block, or multiple routes, but should be that simple?
