I don't know where you came up with these points. I have two Xiaomi phones - Xiaomi Note 4, and Xiaomi Mi Max 2.
I have not had any of the problems you claim/allege....zero problems, nil, luthu, niks

Maybe you got a dud phone?

Only issue with mine is the pesky hotspot.

I did not make them up.

The focus breathing issue happens in all of them, most reviewers don't even mention it but you can see it in their videos.
The camera noise especially in low light most reviewers mention. This can be improved upon by using the google camera software if you know how to install it.
Just the other day there was someone on this forum with dual sim issues, he's not alone.
Sound dying during calls is also a known issue.

You're welcome to google this.

Funny, my phone's hotspot used to work until the first update came through, since then, I've never had success with it. And when MIUI 9 update came out, this did not fix it. Not really tried to fix it, cause I've never really needed this function to worry about it.

The Only call dropping I got was on WhatsApp calls.

I experienced issue one on Note 4X. It is damn annoying and doesn't seem like there is a solution.

There are other people also with the same issue.
 
Haven't had call or dual sim issues with my Mi 6 and I've always had 2 sim cards in use.

I'd say the camera is dead average, not a strong point for Xiaomi.
 
Sound and camera on my Redmi Note 2 blows anything equivalent from Samsung and Sony in a similar price range but I'm having a soft earpiece problem during calls. I think the earpiece is buggered.
 
I need to scratch my Mi Max 2 itch. Loving my Mi A1 but I have even made a glass template of the Mi Max 2 to get a feel of "living" with a device that size, Ha Ha! MI MAX 2.PNG

I need a black 64GB one with Global Rom but Gearbest's pricing is mad and went up even further overnight and the other sites seem to be restocking. Anybody know of a legit site that supports PayPal and ships with bang for buck service like Gearbest and Aramex?
 
International version and Global must be the same thing - my Mi Max 2 updated to Miui 9.2 Global Stable out of the box and is working perfectly

From online reviews, including those from TechTablets (Aussie in Spain), his International Xiaomi's came with quite a bit of Chinese bloat and he had Gmail errors.....

He bought the Gold International Mi Max 2 (bloat) and then the black Global one (no bloat)..

I really don't need that k@k in my life. An advertisement in the CLEANER App is as much as I will tolerate.
 
I like the brand, but my Redmi note 4 hasn't been doing good lately and it's only been a year I believe.

. No vibration when typing, it's cut off.

. Battery is really bad, used to last long during the first few months.

Tried a factory reset? My Redmi Note 2 battery also lost about 25% of its standby time after a year.
