The Official Xiaomi Thread

Redmi 9C also had an update yesterday. Some people on the NET reporting sound issues when playing music after the update.

Just checked for updates on my Redmi Note 8 - no bueno.

But not too concerned as it's still working and lately my phone is just used for basic messaging anyway. Compared to a few years ago and I was hopping from ROM to ROM and constantly fiddling and breaking and fixing things. I must be getting old:ROFL:

I've been watching MIA for a while now. They are selling **** loads of 9C and 9A phones. A LOT. And it's cause nothing can beat the value that Xiaomi brings to the table. Win win for honest people like me who believe in hard work.

Still no MI 11s, weak sauce Mia africa

You heard of them? The site even used them on article some time ago.

Nothing on my Mi 9T Pro...

There is a v12.0.5 for the global and EEA versions, released in April.

If your phone is global or EEA version you can download from the Xiaomi servers via Xiaomi Firmware Updater and run a local update on the phone (Use the Recovery file).

Just want to post something that I had to dig deep to find. For anyone on MIUI unrooted and wants to install YouTube Vanced. You are required to turn off MIUI Optimisations in developer options.

If you are in developer options and can't find MIUI Optimisations go to reset to defaults a couple of times. The option will then show up.

After installing the latest YouTube Vanced you can then turn on MIUI Optimisations again.

Not too desperate for it
I would if it was a major update.

P.S. the phone is actually a Redmi K20 Pro flashed with the Mi 9T Pro Global ROM for the Google support and reduced ads.

Not the best outcome but options are always good. MrMobile is extremely objective as always:

These are special imports so no local support with spares etc. That is why I was commenting on Mia Africa.

No need for the snark if you actually understood then comment.
