The Official Xiaomi Thread

Weaker processor that can only handle camera footage shot at a maximum 1080 at 30fps.

Note 10 Pro superior.

The Chinese Note 11 Pro has much better hardware but with a mediatek processor, a custom rom is n/a.
What about the 11 Pro 5G with the Snapdragon 695?

This is why I hate Xiaomi's software and the data exfiltration included in their OS. Since I upgraded to 13.0.3/android 12. This error message pops up randomly.

I am not a Facebook user and have no meta app except for WhatsApp. So what the heck is this? Can't find hint of it anywhere.

Really need to bite the bullet and buy a Samsung or worst case and iPhone ( ) againScreenshot_2022-03-07-18-13-08-571_com.whatsapp.jpg

I must say, after having my Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 for a few weeks, it is the best device I have ever had.
Had a lot of duplicate apps like Samsung's and just removed them. Took a whole minute. It is now basically pure Android. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Did you buy a Global Rom unit or are you driving the Chinese Rom?

Chinese. Removed bloat.
Then decided to flash to Global.
Cool.

I want to try Xiaomi.eu Rom - they promise all the good Chinese Rom stuff, including the Miui dialler with auto call recording, with all the bad Chinese Rom stuff stripped out.

No difference I can see in the Global vs Chinese. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I had major notification issues when I used the Chinese Rom. Never heard from PnP ASAP, WhatsApp, WW app etc unless I opened them. Was annoying

My buddy is using EU rom on Note 10 Pro, Vodacom device. Flashed EU rom to get dual sim working.
Only downside is no OTA's.
Gotta manually flash updates when available.

I flashed the Global Note 10 Pro ROM on my Vodacom ex-Single SIM model, left the bootloader unlocked, and got the OTA update to MIUI 13 last night.
Could be an option to switch to Global ROM.

You're on Global Rom. He has EU because of MIUI dialer and other Chinese exclusive features.

Is he happy with EU? I really want to try it.

Same here with the custom EliteROM, it was chinese based and notifications had problems. I had to toggle wifi off/on for the notifications to come through. Or opened the apps, like you mentioned

I'm back on stock.

That would be permission relating settings, took me a few minutes by Googling the issue.
Doesn't sound like you used Chinese Rom long enough. I spent hours deep in settings allowing every permission I could. Never got it perfect like a Global Rom

Yeah. Always laughing and mocking @ me when he shows it to me.
I've just got a Pixel 5a unboxed and a Note 10 Pro unboxed, both waiting to be used. Going to give the Note 10 Pro Global stock rom a try for 2 to 3 weeks.
