The Official Xiaomi Thread

Don't know if others were bad luck or maybe had that stereo setup, but I get great battery life out of this speaker. Bought few weeks ago and put it throught various drunken nights. After 2 to 4 hours it still tells me 100%, until yesterday when we had a 8 hour stint. Started 13h00 and switched off at 21h00 and it shouted 80% when I pressed the power button. Impressed.

How do you get yours to say what the battery percentage is? My unit just says "power on", "bluetooth connected" or "power off".

Mine also talks a battery reading. Press the power button briefly when the unit is on and it sprouts out it's secret

I am in the market for a Xiaomi Pad 6... ;)

I've read all the reviews so I know what I am in for... but nobody in RSA stocks it yet, and Takealot are usually at the front of stocking Tech.

I can source it from here, they are importing it, I am unfamiliar with the company.
Xiaomi Pad 6 (8Gb/256Gb)

Anyone with other leads? :p

They are at the Xiaomi stores (well at least the one in Canal Walk). I have the Pad 5 and it's great. Haven't had any issues with it.

I am in Pretoria, trying to get hold of Sandton and also the new MI online store is a no go. It's not Xiaomi, it's the local staff that are useless, no customer service, don't answer phones, don't answer emails. Will get hold of Canal Walk, maybe they can courier. :p Edit: They don't courier. :crying:

I ordered a Kindle Fire from them last month, no major issues

Just a note, just confirm if it's in SA, otherwise you wait as per your link.

The title says "Special Import", if you say you didn't have issues, I guess I don't mind waiting, at least I won't have to personally deal with the Import duties/issues ;) and they deliver/courier

I said major issues :D

The Kindle Fire came with ads, which is obviously the cheaper version - I subsequently raised it with them - and they updated the listing to reflect such, claiming they didn't know. Fortunately, when I contacted Amazon - they removed the ads free of charge, if not - I might of had issues with connecteddevices.co.za. (the tablet was for a kid, and some of the ads I was seeing weren't kid approprtiate)

Some of the stuff they seem to hold stock of though, the Kindle Fire was delivered in a day or two.

Just keep in mind, some banking apps will cease to function after you have unlocked the boot, I have confirmed this with Capitec, don't know about other institutions.

I have a Redmi 9T, MIUI 14 last update. I read there won't be anymore MIUI updates, unless its minor and critical, all current legible and future phones will have the new Hyper OS system, or upgraded to it eventually.
Unlocked bootloader is fine, root is mostly not.

I have a Xiaomi phone, so know what I am in for, ads and all. :p Glad you were able to have the ads removed from the device. Just wanted to know connecteddevices where ok to deal with as I have never dealt with them before. ;)

There are no ads on the Pad 5 so I doubt there will be any on the Pad 6.
