If you import, it will be much cheaper.

Yeah, same here when it comes to anything that pricey. But maybe like @Bond mentioned, someone could help.

Yep, but back in Feb our Rand was a bit stronger so that helped.
As for the scared of imports. 2 rules:
1 Only use PayPal. They protect you for up to 60 days.
2 Use importers, don't trust registered post.

Agree with @AlphaJohn. Have imported a few phones from Gearbest and never had a problem. Make sure to select a courier for shipping, usually DHL or Aramex. They'll take care of duties etc.

Yep, less than 6 months old .. Bought from TA.
I returned my Redmi Pro 2 to takealot earlier this year - do you know how difficult it was to get them to understand I want to be refunded for the screen protector attached to the phone as well? They couldn't comprehend that the screen protector was attached to the phone - and couldn't be returned separetly, they kept insisting.
