It's a 720p

I just ordered a 32gb one for a colleague as well. Cost £145

Battery on 80% at 16:47. Took it off charge at 9am

So I got a Redmi Note 4X to replace my Redmi Note 3 16GB (Storage too low issue).

This battery life is light years better. I mean I could get about 6 hours of SoT on the note 3, but I'm only at 40% now after the same time.

Also Nougat MIUI is a nice touch

How big a deal is the 720p screen res, coming from a 1080 Note 3.

I definitely noticed using my friend's 4A with a 720p screen vs the 1080p screen on mine. It's not a deal-breaker but the text looks a bit stockier - otherwise no real difference in day to day usage for your everyday user

Personally haven't noticed many changes.
The real time charging current on the lockscreen is a nice addition, and the sound quality has improved a smidgen.

The fingerprint sensor only needs about a millisecond of contact to read a fingerprint. Albeit I did not test this before updating, it's a lot slower on my Note 3.

SOT for my device is 3 hrs, and not 8. Mistake on my part, sorry.

Do you see those four notification icons I have. A few days after I got my note 4, I was randomly prompted to choose icons. Not knowing what they would do I chose four.

The problem is I can't figure out how to change them . I tried every option in settings and notifications. Can't find it. Can anybody tell me how I can change them?

Have a look in the security app, then see its settings. It's the option for show menu in notification shade.
