Everyone wants the Note 8, had it in my Takealot cart, helped kids quickly and when i wanted to check out it was sold.
On mia site I selected the Blue Note 8 and as I wanted to pay I got a pop up to say its out of stock now.
I eventually got the black one.

Not only the Note but it's a massacre across the board. No one seems to have stock of anything.

mia website does not give you option for taking it as a budget payment either...

They use MobiCred just like Takealot.

Sidenote - MIA Africa supply's Takealot with the Xiaomi devicess as they are the authorized Xiaomi distributors for SA.

Most likely yes but what are the chances that on two diff sites my order went out of stock as I was making purchase... My luck I guess but at least I did get one.

As stated Mia supplies takealot. I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago from takealot. During this period both stores have been in and out of stock several times on both colours. Not sure what's the deal though.

Im getting worried now as their fb page is full of complaints from people not getting their devices delivered.

In the light of that I'll rather wait it out before ordering a new device.

I ordered a Redmi Note 8 from MIA yesterday.
No updates as of yet, but I asked their rep on Twitter, they responded with delivery within 7 working days.

No updates on tracking number yet. Sent an email yesterday and no response either.

Im also itching to get a Redmi Note 8 as a backup phone. I am currently using a XS Max so its difficult to justify the Note 8 purchase.
