is this a trusted source/shop?
never ordered through them as yet

What I don't understand is why Xiaomi don't bring more of their models here, they have like 100 different models available in different markets (not literally but they have loads and seem like there is a new one coming out every couple of weeks) but we only get a few of the more entry level ones, and the same ones they have offered for quite a while now. They make brilliant devices and I imagine they would be really popular if offered here. I imported the Poco F2 Pro and can't fault it, it is brilliant.

All you guys using Redmi Notes, any trace of Call Recorder in the dialer?
Last device to get the Miui dialler is my Mi 9T. from the Pro onwards, stock Google dialler = no built in call recording. It's the reason I am running my 9T until it dies (I normally change devices every 9-12 months).

For higher end Xiaomi market sector is still Apple/Samsung/Huawei heavy, so only cheapies available.

Ya for sure, but if they entered the market with pricing in line with what they selling the devices for overseas they can definitely cut into that segment. It is crazy to pay the prices apple and Samsung charge here.

Been doing some research, the Xiaomi. EU roms have MIUI dialer with built in recorder. Just make sure you get the correct device for the EU rom. The device list is on the site.
I'm looking @ Mi 10. Checks all the boxes.

You're correct. I should've added last Global rom phone to have call recording baked in was the Mi 9T. Chinese Rom unaffected.

You can turn off all ads in MIUI apps via the settings of each app.

It must depend where the phone comes from, my EU model Mi 10 Lite has never shown an ad (except for free apps that have ads when installed on any phone eg Ookla Speedtest).

Even the MIUI security scan that opens after installing an app has never shown an ad, even though that's one I've seen people complain about.
