The Official Xiaomi Thread

I’ve been tinkering with FNG on and off all day, I just get it working and five minutes later it’s dead again. I’ve set stock launcher up as close to how I had Nova for now. I’ll try again when I have time again next week.

Fecking Google pissing about with things that didn’t need changing or removing from Android .
I hate it when some functionality get removed for whatever reason. Ffs.

Anyone else have the issue where emails and a few other notifications only come through when screen is turned on?
My gmail notifications have been non existent for the last week or 2.
I have to open the app to see if there is any unread mail
Read this here. Xiaomi has great battery life because it outright kills background apps.

So my mom dropped her pocophone f1 for the 51st time and the screen finally broke ( she can't understand why because she dropped it 50 times before that  )

Anyway I got her a Redmi 9T as a replacement and she seems very happy with it. Battery is lasting for 2 days now. And thw phone is good enough for what she uses it for

Wow! Congratulations! I would like to know about photos in the evening /dusk

Just received my Redmi Note 10 Pro and I'm honestly still amazed at the value one gets for under R5k from them. If anyone has any questions about it, I'd be happy to answer them!
Of course you get a good phone for the price you paid, it's several thousand Rands! These companies have successfully upped their margins and have brainwashed us into thinking they're giving us value.

Imagine how much better they are with economies of scale in the year 2021 and yet they are asking us to pay more than ever for their products (average price with inflation factored in would probably prove this I reckon).

If passes SafetyNet then banking apps should work

Where'd you but it from?
I got it online from Konga.com(they operate in Central and Western Africa though), had a friend who helped bring it here for me.

I'll get some tomorrow evening for you, but from my experience so far it's pretty useable, not flagship grade of course, there's a noticeable softness that comes with the night mode, this is especially visible in night time videos, pictures aren't as badly affected. I think it's due to the lack of OIS on any of the cameras(though it has EIS)
