Finally today i have joined openweb and so far its been just good service.

when i write an email to openweb it gets replied to immediately.

Heck i was still getting ready for the day and guess who is on the phone very eager to get me connected - yes it was openweb calling me at 10am !!!

When i expected the extra mile even if i haven't been a client of theirs it was not a discussion or meetings just how can we make it better, what can i do for you so that you can have what you need :]

I've never had so many emails from and to a ceo of a company - makes me feel that there is really hope on the isp scene still.

That we the customer is someone and that we can get good service.

I must really say that i am impressed with the way i was treated and how every thing came together to make certain that today my first openweb day goes flawless

thumbs up openweb, if there was a hill you must be the king of it ;)

Necuno, I share you sentiment completely.

Welcome to the OpenWeb experience. Sit back and enjoy the ride, it's awesome

Once you have signed up with openweb, its extremely hard to change it to anywhere else.

Well, you don't have a reason what so ever, to even think about changing to somewhere else. :D

I've been with quite a few internet service providers, from fixed line to wireless, and I am completely blown away by the service I've received from OpenWeb.

OpenWeb is a shining example of how any business should treat and service their customers.

I must agree with you all. OpenWeb is one of the top internet service providers in South Africa.

Excellent Service, Excellent Quality and just all out Excellence!

i totally agree openweb (Mr Beep) when reading my post that i want help going from dail up to adsl he took me on and after a few emails i knew what to do and how to get started and pressently just waiting for telkom to come and do whatever they need to

I'm not with Openweb, as my flatmate does not like change, however I have used my brother in law's account a few times, and it may just be in my head but speeds do seem faster, websites which take reloading a few times before they open properly works perfectly with Openweb.

Ye, I won an uncapped account (end of 2006 competition) from OpenWeb and they kept it for me for a month or 2 coz my ADSL line hadn't been installed yet :) I was expecting them to say "Sorry, claim it now or lose it", but they were really nice about it :D

Info needed

Hi Alchemist and others on uncapped 384

I am planning to move to 384 uncapped at from the end of this month. Can one of the people on 384 uncapped please give me more information on what I can expect? throughput, reliability etc. etc.

Thank you
Proff

Hi proff,

The reliability is pretty good. But, like any adsl package, there is always a little problem every now and then, but thats not just limited to the uncapped packages. However, having said that, if you do encounter a problem, the guys at OpenWeb will literally band over backwards to try and help you out.

As with all adsl packages, there will be some days that you will experience slow speeds, but, thats what has become to be expected in South Africa given our current telecoms conditions.

Hopes this helps! PM me if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Alchemist

eek @ "band over backwards"

now that is freaky ;)

Thanks Alchemist

Much appreciated. Do you do much downloading? Stats from month to month?

Profff

proff, i do do a bit of downloading. On full speed, you could probably pull down 2gigs of data in a 24 hour period.

I was with Openweb for a while, then i had probs with credit card payment on there new system, so i had to move to Webafrica. Both services are great, and speeds etc.. are the same.

Thanks for the replies guys...appreciated.
