The Ou Boets Man!

I was chatting to some people yesterday about the state of Telecoms etc...

Anyways I was complaining that there is no "Consumer Protection Board" in this country. They were very quick to say that i was wrong because of something called the "Ou Boets Man"

Apparently there is this boogey man type character that watches out for Consumers in all Industries countrywide??

Anyone heard of this??

Anyways my point was..... Is there an equivalent Ombudsman for a telecoms industry? or something in the same vacinity...??? That we can use to make them cause a stir??

Nope ... all we have is ICASA's limited control.
It's all because the telecoms industry is not free to trade like the other industries.

Cant we even try to submit something like we did for the ASA etc..??
I mean that article that was on BBC about 70% reduction..etc is utter nonsesnse..??? You think its worth a shot?
