The Panama Papers thread

zerohedge - the same lot who also claimed transatlantic cargo shipping had ground to a halt ?

Indeed, they finish off the "article" with this lovely snippet:

Finally, for those curious why not a single prominent US name features in the list above, the reason may be found within the snapshot of the non-profit ICIJ's "funding supporters":

Recent ICIJ funders include: Adessium Foundation, Open Society Foundations, The Sigrid Rausing Trust, the Fritt Ord Foundation, the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, The Ford Foundation, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Pew Charitable Trusts and Waterloo Foundation.

And then, at the bottom of the Panama Papers disclosure site we again find Open Society which, as everyone knows, is another name for George Soros.

No tinfoil hats there.

and we think our JZ is corrupt,
just goes to show you Most if not all politicians are corrupt in some way/shape or form...

All politicians are corrupt to an extent if they are even vaguely successful, the difference is many countries' citizens actually get something good in exchange for their politicians' corruption. It seems mostly just in Africa and parts of South America that you can find corruption so blatant and malignant being flaunted in the face of everyone with an air of invincibility.

In the civilized world people at least have enough tact to hide their corruption better, here we just get the middle finger and some "hehehe hehe hehhehehhe" while it all continues unabated.

I read several articles related to the panama leaks and what it relates to politicians, celebrities, human traffickers and mafia etc around the whole world and not only just Russia and Putin for the last 40 years.

Hundreds of journalists in about 80 countries got together to research about 2.6tb of data that was leaked and they will have announce their findings today. Apparently they are going to announce all together at once so that not one single journalist will be targeted and singled out.

The Panama papers and the Zuma link

Everyday a new expose of this corrupt cabal.
According to the documents, which News24 has perused, British Virgin Island tax authorities ordered the law firm to furnish further particulars about Zuma.

A letter, sent to Mossack Fonseca by a Financial Investigation Agency official, gave the law firm seven days to hand over Zuma’s details.

“You have not provided all of the information that was requested in Questions 1 and 2 of my letter. Specifically, you have not provided a copy of the due diligence in respect of the above referenced company,” it reads.

According to a report by the Centre for Public Integrity, which published the leaked papers, Mossack Fonseca decided to “end its relationship” with Zuma and Caprikat.

Face it though. Anybody who's cared to look into the circumstances around Putin's rise to power has known for a long time that there's some serious shadiness.

The regrettable part is that there are no checks and balances in place to prevent people like this from gaining significant political power.

Cameron's dad, senior Tories’ offshore asset dealings exposed & UK media still focus on Putin

People like Cameron also?

Right, so we can agree that journalists in general are hypocrites when it comes to being fair @ the truth, right?

Yes, i have at least read stories in English media on Cameron's father. Even if its not as much as it should be, its more than RT's. And RT has the nerve to write an article about it.

And one publication is the entirety of Russia's media, is it?

Do they have to put out a story immediately or do they get a chance to actually do some journalism and not just reprint what others are saying?

Let's see what they put out in the next week or so, this source points out some very obvious anti-Putin propaganda alarm bells in the mainstream stories though: http://off-guardian.org/2016/04/03/panama-papers-cause-guardian-to-collapse-into-self-parody/

Ok lets wait and see then, they have had the information for a long time though i believe. It was a coordinated release of information that was collected months ago.
