Yeah to save R400, look I like the prettiness of it, the Ripjaws are the same in almost everyway just not pretty.

Normally pliers and brute force? Also I never used plastic washers between them and motherboard, never have?

Ok so asking as not performance wise I don't mind paying a little extra for the "looks".

Was the one I linked to correct (for possible future Ryzen upgrade) to use with Intel? There was a second one I linked too for R1k more but no idea what the difference is.

Those are fine, the Cas Latency ratings is better on the R1000 more one, so in theory you should be able to overclock it easier and further. It also means it's faster as it receive commands from the CPU quicker.

The point of the standoffs is so that the motherboard doesn't come into contact with case (so no electrical shorts). With no washers, you're still just completing that circuit.

Well I don't see myself overclocking so will just go with the R2299 version.

My stands are round and ice tried pliers before. Absolutely no grip.

Reason why I'm thinking of washers is because I'm hoping that it gets rid of the electric current I feel when placing my hand on the case.

I've only ever received washers with one motherboard it was a really pricey back in 2007. But before then and now still don't use washers.
Even servers I've not seen washers?

Shouldn't do that? Even without the washers. Might be the wrong screws used when putting the mobo in?

I've never used, heard of or seen washers used with standoffs.

I know right? I always perfectly install a computer but I see to be getting some electrical current with my current build.
Screws are perfectly screwed in as well beside the one where the flimsy screw broke off into the standoff.

I might be completely and utterly wrong but aren't the standoffs and screws meant to ground the motherboard to the case so you don't want to use washers.

That's my thought and has been for years. Never used them.

Yeah it was my belief as well... but what's going on with my current case? Need to reinstall motherboard again when I have time.
I always do it in a very surgical manner. Precise.

It could be your PSU too, time to rebuild the whole thing.
