thanks guys for the advice on the new build , i will look into getting a bigger ssd
should i rather look at getting corsair vengeance ddr 3 ram rather than Gskill or are they the same more or less ?

Whichever is the cheapest you can get, personally I always use Kingston... Fancy RAM is a complete waste of money

The 1600mhz will have the same performance. The ARES RAM is good, I have 4x4GB of them, no probs there. The argument of fancy RAM for 1600mhz went down the drain when the prices of RAM skyrocketed. It costs almost exactly the same as your standard 8GB of 1333mhz RAM. So take the ARES.

Ok so I'm looking to go for a BUDGET game pc which is not going to be Intel based cause I simply cannot afford it.

Processor - AMD FX-6300 with the stock cooler
Motherboard - ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0
Memory - Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3-1600 CL9 kit
Graphics card - MSI Radeon R9 270 Gaming 2GB
Power supply - Corsair CX500M

With the above I think I could go cheaper if i can get a cheaper motherboard and ram.

Drives I will add later and will source a cheap case.

Let me know your thoughts & suggestions.

I'm building a budget machine for someone, what do you guys think of this?

Motherboard: Intel B85FL Frost Lake Oem pack
Ram Corsair CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 2Gb x 2 kit
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500gb
Chassis: Antec New Solution series NSK4482B + antec earthwatts green 380w psu
Op. Drive: LG DVD Super-multi
K+M: Microsoft desktop 800 Wireless Dsp pack
Monitor: LG 20EN33S-b 19.5" LED display
GFX: Sapphire HD5670

Excluding Windows 7 is the only way that I can sell it without going over 9k.

Why the OEM Intel mobo?

This PC is not nearly worth 9k. More towards R4k.

Why an old HD5670? What CPU you gonna put in or does the mobo come with one?

I agree with EmileS, it's not worth R9k.
No ssd, 4gb ram, 19.5" monitor, Antec 380W earthwatts, and the HD5670.
All of those are major factors for me.

I agree, I wouldn't waste my money on this for such a sub par machine but reading from the Frontosa pricelist, it all adds up to this...

What can I get for R8000, given the specs in the previous post.

WOW, that's just silly then.
is it not cheaper to spec and put it together yourself?

I am putting it together myself.

This is straight from the pricelist:

CP-iH4570 2135 Intel Haswell lga1150 i5-4570
MB-iB85FLo 989 C Intel B85FL Frost Lake Oem pack
ME-C2X16X9x2 588 Corsair CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 / CMX4GX3M2B1600C9
HD-S500S6B16 567 seagate ST3500413AS / ST500DM002
CH-AN4482B+380 899 Antec New Solution series NSK4482B
DW-L24R 159 LG GH24NS90
KM-M800WD 229 Microsoft desktop 800 Wireless Dsp pack
LC-L20EN33S 999 LG 20EN33S-b 19..5" LED display

I went with the cheapest of almost everything.
The list above is excluding vat.

it amounts up to:

without windows 7 = 7484.10
With Windows 7 = 9357.12

and even this price above does not include the GFX card.

Could you put individual prices next to each item?
Or is that the number after the codes?

CP-iH4570 2135 Intel Haswell lga1150 i5-4570

Could you put individual prices next to each item?

Intel Haswell lga1150 i5-4570 R2135
Intel B85FL Frost Lake Oem pack R989
Corsair Ram 2x2GB R588
Seagate ST3500413AS R567
Antec New Solution series NSK4482B R899
LG GH24NS90 R159
Microsoft desktop 800 Wireless Dsp pack R229
LG 20EN33S-b 19.5" LED display R999

prices above excluding vat.

With vat = R 7484.10. Again, no OS and no GFX card.

I can load my Win8.1 :p.

Any reason why you are using Frontosa? They limit what you can get.

The CPU is the only decent piece of equipment in there.

Edit: The pricing isn't that bad now that you put in the CPU. Still, there are some components that can change.

I'm only registered there. I only registered so that I can get things for myself but I see potential, but given these prices...I'm starting to think NAAAAAAH.

The other things can change sure but its going to cost me to drive around as well which would be more expensive, I'm already not making a profit...

Look at how a other company quoted this guy:

Yeh, I've been reviewing it and comparing prices.
You can save a bit here and there for sure.

Nothing massive but all the savings will get your closer to a decent GPU.
That's already a R500-600 saving.
Otherwise the other figures are not bad in all honesty.

Thanks, ugly case:p but tring to squeeze out a penny.

Well I agree it's ugly but cheap.
Go check out the Coolermaster cases then, slightly more but way more appealing I guess.
