... whats the views of the current MB onboard sound... it's not really the days anymore where the first thing we did was look for the best creative sound card... ;)

G
They are functional

I think the curve will work well with such a large screen.
Have you seen the screen and what graphics card are you using?
4080.

Not seen it yet, just poking around hoping someone here has one.

My specs is the following

5800x
FRactal design Celsius s36 360mm AIO cooler
Asrock b550 steel legend
32GB ddr3 3600mhz overclocked to 3733 and tighter timings
Hikvision NVME 256GB OS drive
few 2.5" SSD for games
Mushkin vortex 2tb pcie 4.0 for more games
2TB HDD WD Black for storage.
Palit gamerock rtx 3080 ti
Corsair rm750x
Phantek G500a
Asus rog pg279q 165hz 1440p ips
Sennehieser hd58x headset
Corsair k70 TKL keyboard
Razer viper ultimate mouse

So what would you guys think is a worthwhile upgrade I can do to my rig?
If I was you, I would run userbenchmark.com and have a look at my own graphs for my hardware.

Userbenchmark.com is the biggest farce on the internet. National Enquirer is more accurate.
By what measurement exactly?

Are you saying the benchmarks are fraudulently uploaded by the tool and aggregated fraudulently aswell to fool people into believing the results are inaccurate?

Smh

Here's an example.

Here's a real word example:

According to them, the 13600K is faster than the 7800X3D in both single and multi-core workloads, including gaming.

In reality, the 7800XD is the fastest gaming CPU you can buy, according to benchmarks from (insert any reviewer you want to here).

They used to be good, but they are not trustworthy any longer due to various biases.

Ok I stand completely corrected. Checked that comparison and seems completely messed up. My apologies and wtf

What do you guys think about the G9 Samsung monitor?

OLED or QLED?
The QLED has a VA panel, so no thanks.
It reviews pretty well at Hardware Unboxed though.

While the G9 has that ultra ultra wide thing going which is super enticing, if I had to buy now for purely gaming, it would probably be the Alienware aw3423dwf. Note the F, the non-F supposedly had some issues with AMD cards, and possibly some other issues as well. Don't know if it has been fixed with firmware updates.

You don't need an upgrade.
If you really want to, you could upgrade your GPU if you're at 1440p or 4K, but honestly your PC is just fine as is.
I also feel that way. Just itching for an upgrade.

oh forgot to add I also have a logitech z5500 sound system and was also thinking maybe get myself some nice edifier bookshelf speakers but going from 5.1 to 2.1 don't know if it's really a downgrade seeing as the actual speakers will be much better quality.

In reality how many PC games are actually 5.1 anyway

The lower the resolution the more CPU limited you become because the GPU is just hanging out waiting for something to do.

At 1440P you take more of the load away from the CPU and give the GPU something to do.

Of course you will get games that are just CPU limited like multiplayer and RTS games with a lot happening, so if you're a competitive gamer a 12700 with a 4060 will more than likely be better suited but then if you really just play AAA titles a 12400 with a 4080 will be better.
so its like having a V8 motor with a 4 speed gearbox? inefficient to extract all that power?

question, on the GeForce RTX line

Whats the difference between a 3070 and a 3070Ti...
aka what does the 'Ti" bring to the party, see in most of the options there is both models.
G

The Ti has more CUDA cores 6144 vs 5888 and faster VRAM GDDR6X vs GDDR6 and it's clocked a bit higher.
