Don't worry one day rpd will support more than 60fps... One day.I have a 32" 4K and I sit 60cm from it. Running it at 100% scaling since I work on multiple VMs/RDs. At this distance I do not have to move my head and can just about read all text on the screen.
Don't go for anything less than 4K unless framerate is an issue. Mine is a cheap 60Hz VA panel and while I do miss the poppy colours of the LG IPS I had before this, I found 27" to be a tad too small for 4K.
I chose 4K because of the 4x1080p flexibility it gives. Especially in Widows 11 with the nice window snapping/placing it can do. It is also very nice that you can stretch a window to be about 2160p high (double high), useful if you develop in VS or browse larger SQL resultsets.Don't worry one day rpd will support more than 60fps... I used to work on 49" 4k as that was about the same as 4x1080p monitors
That said even the 100hz ones make a major difference to the experience.

As for gaming, I do play a bit of Xonotic daily and while my 5700G can pump out 120+ FPS at 4K the 60Hz of the monitor is the lowest common denominator here, at least there is no frame tearing with FreeSync and the response time is OK for a VA panel.
Did you try moving back a scooch? So I'll be sending the 32" WQHD monitor back, just not sharp enough. Perhaps I have better than average visual acuity or something but I can see the rough edges on text just about everywhere. Fiddled with sharpness, calibrations, the whole 9 yards but to no avail. Even had my old 27" sitting next it and its like night and day. Ordered a 4k 32" in the meantime, hopefully it'll be here tomorrow
Kinda, I moved the monitor is as far back as it'll go but I like being up against the edge of my desk. So I played with that variable to it's practical limit for my setup. And it kinda sucked because size wise it started feeling the same as the older one which then defeats the point of the whole exercise.Did you try moving back a scooch?
Which of the three 32" QHD screens did you choose / send back out of interest? So I'll be sending the 32" WQHD monitor back, just not sharp enough. Think I narrowed it down to Acer Nitro XV322QUKV, LG UltraGear 32GP850-B or Samsung G50A 32". Anything else is out of budget and I should look into 27" rather.

That's a nice monitor, pity theres no Rtings review on it to see what they say about text clarity. I ordered it from Takealot last year October, was intending to use it for WFH, tried it for gaming first, sent it back as it had a weird scratch on the screen. It was very nice but size by side next to my 'LG 27GL650F-B UltraGear 27" Full HD (1920x1080) 144Hz 1ms IPS FreeSync' monitor the text on the LG looked better.Noneended up with a Dell G3223D, so that's going back now.
Quest3, best to buy from Amazon UK. Obviously more expensive then Quest2, but it's also much better. It's one of those cases where ignorance is bliss, Q2 seemed great until I realized how much better Q3 controller tracking was or how much convenient it was to have pancake lenses with a giant sweet spot. What’s the best VR headset to play Half Life Alyx? I see the Quest 2 costs as little as R7k. I don’t want to spend too much because I might not end up using it often, but on the other hand if there are more immersive headsets maybe it’s worth the extra cash?
