The PC Builder makes some choices that are a little odd, let's say. I've checked it out a couple times most recently for a PC I did for a friend and there was an appreciable amount of what I'd class as frivolous spending (admittedly out of a budget of 50k).
In the example it generated up there, there's stuff that can be improved on -
1) The 5600X is not worth the 400 bucks over the 5600 + the 650 bucks on the cooler
2) G.Skill Ripjaws is cheaper for the same speed \ capacity, another 400 bucks saved there
3) FSP power supply? All their models can't be terrible, I guess. The MSI MAG A-BN is a solid budget option.
4) Some judicious scrimping here and there and it's possible to end up with a graphics card that's a couple tiers beyond what the PC Builder suggests.

All in all, I'm sure it's helpful as a vision board kind of thing but really it's not great when it comes down to the detail (in my limited experience).
