Googling with "amd" gives better results. Generally TeamGroup is supposedly blanketly compatible but you need an ASUS mobo to get the most out of em.Google comes up empty on those wrt ryzen. Ask Wootware?
Hmmmm yes, seems like it's def not running at full speed as is. If you don't wanna play with speeds that's fine this info is already of value. Is this what you wanted to see ? I really don't have much of a clue what it means.

I had the Team Elite 2 module kit many many years ago - they were great memory modules but for some reason after a couple of years with an intel board, I'm not sure if it was a compatibility issue or a fault on the board that was totally unrelated to the memory compatibility issues that I found years later (a faulty sata port). My budget is such that I can unfortunately not afford 14d b-die but I need 32GB RAM for a 2700X on a Asus x470 Tuff mobo..... narrowed my choices down to two kits. Neva heard of TeamGroup but they seem promising.... thoughts?

EDIT: the promoted 2x16GB kit is out of stock anyway so I had start looking for options

For budget memory modules, it's good enough IMHO but nothing beats Corsair for me in terms of warranty and reliability. I'd rather pay a little more for peace of mind.
No, it didn't. That issue I had back there, it was one of the many issues through the line of Intel boards. They discontinued the line and gave me a 2nd hand one instead of a brand new replacement. I decided then and there, I would not support Intel motherboards anymore. You think it might have caused a faulty sata port? How?

By then, I already upgraded to Sandybridge.
Ah yes I had a brain fart - it was a long day at work today in the rain on the golf course (I just relocated to the UK).
No it was an Intel dual-core setup before I went over to B3 Sandybridge (I went quad-core), then I had it swapped after the bug fix came out. Since then, so far it's been a great setup, counting nearly 8 or 9 years now.Sounds like the infamous B3 bug with the first Sandy Bridge (Cougar Point) boards
Sounds like it's close to it's retirement age - now is a really great time to actually be in the market because of the pressure AMD is putting on Intel. No it was an Intel dual-core setup before I went over to B3 Sandybridge (I went quad-core), then I had it swapped after the bug fix came out. Now I get the feeling I need to start saving up and just start over again with a new quad-core system build - something is up with my hard drives and pretty much everything in my system is old now.
I just recently took a refresher on my CompTIA qualifications and after 5 years being out of the field, I have a lot of catching up to do.

I did actually... got this reply this morning.....I think I got the wrong lemming this time....
It's static, does not scale with optional settings so must be a general rule of thumb. How can you make sure it's two sticks instead of one upon ordering?
Damn.... might have to settle for a 2700 then, I have no intention of overclocking. With the prices the 3700X's will probably come out with I would have to wait untill next year if I wanted to go that route. You don't, read a thread on carb the other day where the guy explicitly stated to them that the order must have 2 sticks, they only installed 1. You can't trust those fsckers!

There is one source I can get a 2700X from through work but I am only getting clarification on whether or not they still have stock today. Oh well.
So why go for such expensive MBs? A decent B450 will do the job.
I'll give you 3x 2700x builds with 32GB 3200MHz QVL RAM in a sec.
Future proofing, even if it's a cheap x470 with 4 RAM slots I'd be fine.
Also with wootware specifically the problem is the 2700X chips are out of stock.... and obviously more wont be coming before the promo ends.
But of course any extra options will be appreciated.
R5449 - AMD Ryzen 7 2700X - Includes Tom Clancy's The Division 2 & World War Z
R4239 - Corsair Vengeance LPX, 32GB Kit, DDR4-3200, CL16, Black
MB Options,
R3539 - MSI X470 GAMING PRO CARBON
R2659 - MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC
R2089 - MSI B450 TOMAHAWK
Thanks, funny thing though I can't find a corsair qvl list from that side. Am I missing it or is it not there?
Red cars are faster than any other colour cars, same goes for usb, black=usb2 red=usb3+Honestly the only thing I have against msi is the confusing black and red colour schemes on the io side....
