I would not worry about buying from wootware, they will honor that warranty.

That 30 month warranty on a recertified product is just 6 months less than the normal 3yr warranty on most products and 6 months more than offered on the Galax GPUs which long outlast the warranty, think my Galax GPU is about 6yrd old now. Bottom line wootware will warranty the product, no questions asked.

Well that’s great hoping the warranty isn’t effected as it’s an EVGA GPU and originally had a 36 month warranty on new

Think I’ll go for it hopefully stock is available next month

Ready to build finally just waiting for some more b760 boards from wootware then can begin with the build

Or is 13th gen intel not a good option ? Currently have a i7 8750h 6 core processor with a 1050ti in my laptop but fan died so time for a new pc

Edit : looking at a i5 13400 with a RTX 3060 Ti in this case an EVGA one

Thanks for the feedback everyone !

First time customer so hoping for everything to go smoothly

Being a tech company if issues like graphical issues or crashes will be a thing can claim on warranty
I tried to them based on the recommendations on this forum. Not a massive customer but I have never once had an issue with them, hope you have a good experience.

I've never had any problems with wootware, had to return an ssd and they did the swap out without any issues. Had a faulty PSU swapped out no issues either.
Ok so the price of a Ryzen 7 series Intel is starting to look like a viable option, as I did do an upgrade last year from a 2600 to a 5600, but my son is still sitting on a 1600af from early 2020, trying to find b550 boards at a decent price is hard, as I wanted to at first plop in a 5500 to his machine to extend it a bit, but yeah b550s aren't cheap and his B450 is one of those that loses it's previous CPU list once you flash and I'm not sure if I can flash it with the 1600af in it, then swap to the 5500?

Yup you can do that. Flash it, it will successfully flash but then fail to boot on the old one, then you pop the new one in and it should be good to go.

Does the board support dual bios?

Nope it doesn't sadly it's an Asrock HDV-M so the real basics of basics, only one I could get during 2020 lockdowns.

Fair enough. Assuming you have an inverter or can do this when you're sure there's no loadshedding you should be fine. Just remember to do the BIOS updates in sequence, or at least verify there are no dependencies. Just going straight to the most recent one can be a problem sometimes, where a later BIOS version requires a previous version to function correctly.

Sadly I would need to jump, as the motherboard removes the support for the 1600AF pretty early on in the sequence :-(. Oh I've got power back up so no worries on that front :-)

So this is wootwares response for recertified cards

IMG_4502.png

Basically a RMA’d card repaired and resold Just a bummer no box is included

It does come in a box, just not retail packaging.

Imagine the retail product, now take away the outside box with the branding/graphics on it.

That's what you get. Inner box with original foam packing (card is snug). Card itself is in an anti-static bag. No accessories.

It ships quite secure and protected.

Good Day,

Have a friend looking to grab a system with below specs:

PC Specs:
Intel i3 10100F [more powerful than i7 7700)
MSI 1650 GDDR6 OC
16GB KLEVV Ram
512GB nvme SSD
Reddragon Steel Jaw Pro Case

Ad claims:
Fortnite 165fps+
GTA 120fps
Apex 120fps

She wants the system to run Fortnite at 120fps. 1080p/1440p
Sims 4 , max out settings aswell.

Her budget is R6500. Possible to build one close to the price?

She also is worried a gaming pc may not last [break quickly?]? What do you all say ? [be gentle] lol.

Is the budget just for the tower? She doesn't need a screen or peripherals?

I would advise her to not buy from Evetech ever.

Also, that GPU wouldn't hit 120FPS in Apex if you ran it at 480p.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, only for tower the budget.

@UrBaN963 I’ve asked her now , awaiting response. I don’t believe she may have any parts but will confirm.
Okay cool. I don't see any way to buy a complete tower for gaming at that budget, not with new parts. Your cheapest GPU worth looking at is like R3,500.

@[XC]Oj101 come help this person.

Any guidance on second hand builds ? Facebook ads are shady at best and have to be cautious.
