As has been brought to the attention of the board by another user, Telkom's advertising of ADSL as an "Always On" connection is misleading and false in the extreme as users are disconnected every 24 hours.

I have today lodged a complaint with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) via [email protected] .

This is one small battle in the war against Telkom and I will keep you all posted.

The joke is, I switch my modem off when Im not using it, so as to hopefully save my precious 3 gigs.
Oh and BTW, Im not the only one.

<font color="red">"I bought ADSL, mainly because I was sick and tired of waiting for 7pm so I could use my R7 call plan"</font id="red">

I still feel the same as I did before. It's just the opposite scenario. I have "24/7 connectivity," but I must switch off to conserve my Usage. It's like out the pan and into the fire. [:(]

You can take Telkom out of the Post Office but you can't take the Post Office out of Telkom.
