Who remembers this classic movie ?
Wouldn't it be awesome to see a sequel to this top rated movie? Where Matilda is all grown up and continues on the path of her new found talent that Leon so generously taught her.
Think about this headline....
Matilda the Professional seeks revenge

Gary Oldman was peak in this one. Probably one of the best villains ever.

Apparently the "Everyone!" line being shouted and as dramatic as it was, was all Gary, the director hadn't called for it.

Gary just told someone (like the sound guy I guess, or the cameraman, I can't remember) to be ready for it. And cinema history was born.

I can imagine it
Hollywood taking a generic female assassin script, adding that she likes milk and taking care of plants, and calling it the Professional 2 - Matilda - The more professionaller foressional... before raking in the member berry cash. It's right up their alley, wonder why it hasn't been done yet.

Probably because the reasons it was so good can’t be replicated in the sequel.

They’ll probably put someone like Jared Leto or Joaquin Phoenix in it and ensure nobody wants another sequel.

Since when has that stopped them?

anyway... here it is:
"
Trivia
The film was based on a script that was set to be a sequel for Léon: The Professional (1994). The story was set to follow Natalie Portman's character Mathilda as she tracked down and killed characters that had wronged her and Leon. Due to rights issues with the studio behind the first film, it was canceled and the script was turned into this film."

Love this movie. We had it on VHS and I spent at least one year in primary school convinced that I'll become a "cleaner".

Also written by Luc Besson, who wrote the original. Interesting.

This was also awesome...👌

One of my favourite action movies of all time. Probably the first movie where I realized that truly good movies need as good an actor as the villain as the hero. It was post Gary Oldman's performance in this that I decided unless an actor could pull of both a brilliant hero and villain they were not a true great.

Romeo is bleeding is also a great Gary Oldman movie.

Leon was a very good movie, stained by Bessons obvious pedo proclivities.
It could've been a great movie.

Well that's disappointing. But given what we know about Hollywood and the elites, not a huge shock.

Nothing in the Wiki about it (no surprises either), is it rumour or a well known secret?
