Should we allow the Kolpak guys back into the system if they want to come back?

Most cricketers are young in terms of age and life experience so I would not really mind seeing them come back if they still feel strongly about representing the country with pride.

For some reason though, the thought of Duanne Olivier representing the Proteas again disturbs me and I hope it does not happen.

Smithy is formally appointed as director of cricket for two years.

I am happy for Smith and Boucher, both have good cricketing brains and can help us through this difficult period. I'm not sure about Paul Harris though because he was never really a match-winner as a player, I would much rather have preferred Robin Petersen to help with the spin bowlers as he played all formats of the game for SA and in more conditions than Harris.

Yup, Harris is definitely an odd pick. But if he and Keshav Maharaj work well together then that probably explains it. I wonder if Keshav had any input.

Not sure if that is the case.

The leadership initially attracted criticism for being an "old boys club" and whilst the others got in there fairly, I think that Harris benefited by virtue of being on their good books.

I would have much rather preferred Robin Petersen. He was not a world-class player but has significantly more experience than Harris which could have helped the spinners. He also played all formats unlike Harris.

Agree. Harris only saw the test team and was by no means world class. And i dont see how he can add any value to the white ball teams. Robbie played all formats at least.

If Corona is hammering their UK contracts so they now feel they can still come back and represent SA, then no.
They can play action cricket in Benoni no problem.

Yeah pretty tough assuming all players are in their prime I would go Steyn and Polly but bring on Vern after 3 overs if someone looks off. Didn't see a lot of Donald so difficult to compare him to the others.

Donald wasn't on the same level in terms of skill perhaps when compared to the other 3. But if u wanted someone to bowl full out gas. He was your man.

People are seriously underrating the role harris did for our most successful team since re-admission. He played a vital role in keeping one end tight.

Both Robbie P and Paul have the same test average , there is very little to chose between.

Robbie also likely wants to be a number one coach and not a bowling coach.

They can play franchise cricket in kimberley infront of one man and his dog...

Teams look unbalanced, Dala, Magala and Ngidi all struggle with early season fitness. I get to see more of Stuurman great!.

I'll replace Morris with GERALD COETZEE and Dala with THANDO NTINI. Time to invest in youth for the next world cup.

It's an homage to Royal Challengers Bangalore. Slap AB in a team whose bowlers will concede 100 runs in six overs.
