He has been in good form in first class cricket this season but a great batsmen hit the next ball for a single to get of strike and not have a rush of blood to the head.
That a bad call to leave out Stuurman. Migael Pretorius for Beuran Hendricks is a good call. Will Prenelan Subrayen have a greater impact then Senuran Muthusamy, I don't know.
It's the 3rd game on the same venue(don't know if it's the same pitch as the 1st game) maybe the ball will turn?
Stuurman had a couple of injuries last season maybe the plan was to only give him 2 games or soft management said give all player a game.
Squad was picked before the season started and Olivier just returned. He will be in the test squad as Nigdi might not be match fit.
He will have to perform in the 1st test to keep is place. The one quality Olivier has is he can bowl long spells, this will work out well for Rabada and Nortje. We always bowl Rabada into the ground because he can fit into any role we ask him. Having Oliver bowl 8 to 10 over spell is great because it means Rabada and Nortje can have quick burst of 5 overs.
The first game pitch was a road. This pitch appears to be lot fairer.
Difficult to say, but this pitch looks like there will be a result. India A quicks are bowling well today. Getting slight movement with the second new ball.
Olivier's return does increase the options. Nothing wrong with increase in competition.
