The PS3 FAQ - No trolling!!

Like the Xbox360 FAQ, this is one for the PS3.

MASSIVE Info
Local only guys can get some info from here.

Sorry but waaaay too much info.

Apologies, but I would have liked to include an attachment of all the important information regarding model numbers, audio info, compatibility (DVD, BLD etc.), hardware info etc.
Was unable to.

As if someone sat and thought out all the stuff in the 360 FAQ. Its all just copy paste.
Anycase, there is the local PS3 Community www.ps3za.co.za with enough information. If someone is capped he can visit that site.

iDenTiTy, maybe update your post with the link so that people looking for PS3 info can go there. At least there each PS3 related thread don't contain a load of 360 spam and flames.

firstly, dnt troll in our thread. this thread is for useful information and not useless flaming. one more and its RBP.

Secondly ever heard the term "work smarter not harder??", oh yeah, ur a bot my bad :D

Firstly then get you compatriots out of the 360 threads, secondly, as a matter of fact, most of the posts in the 360 FAQ are hand typed. At the very least they're local so caped users can read them.
 
question time (couldn't see this in the faq at first glance):
i created a PSN ID a few months ago. amazingly i remembered my password and all, but when i log in i get this
eu.playstation.com
If you previously signed up to eu.playstation.com, enter your existing user name (email address) and password below and we'll transfer your details to your new account. You must do this to activate your new profile.

i first thought i registered from www.playstation.com but either i was mistaken, or things have changed quite a bit. took me a few minutes to find the above page. (oh, is the us.playstation.com and eu.playstation.com two different lists of users? how come there is two?)

ok, so what gives? what is this step for?

I might be wrong, but:

I suspect its for server authentication purposes.
South Africans generally use the EU server. So if you try to logon to EU, your details need to be transferred (since its 2 different servers).

The guys on PS3ZA know what they talking about. Ask some guys there..

eish... will have to go ask there... that stupid site doesn't work... i checked and i did register with that same site previously (my bad). i just don't want to lock my id by doing something wrong

it asks me to log in. then, when i've logged in successfully, it asks for my login details AGAIN! when i enter it, again, then it says "oh sorry, doesn't work, please check your greasy fingers because you must have just entered your own password incorrectly 13 times in a row."

... wonder if i can skip this step
 
You see, the bots have too much time. They are probably all waiting for their console to come back from repairs or something.

just to answer the question ......... I sleep on average only 2 hours a day (if at all), so ja I do game ...... on PC and mah Xbox ;)
