My internet has been off for the last 2 weeks waiting for telkom to fix it, got fixed yesterday and when I connected the modem it didn't pick it up, so I tried to repair/reinstal the driver and I get this error:

"The Realtek Network Controller was not found. IF Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable"

I've tried flashing the cmos and removing the RAM card for 5min and no results, how do I "wake" my LAN port?

Thanks

Check in control panel>system>device manager if the device is installed and enabled. If needed, uninstall the device, rescan for hardware changes and let windows sort it out. If it's still buggered, download the latest driver and install. Then check if you may have disabled the LAN device in the BIOS. If all this fails, then it's possible that it's shagged. Probably lightning. Get a PCI LAN card and plug it in.
