Is not because they do not respond but because they ALL respond. And to make it worse, they all state different reasons for your problem but they all agree that the solution to world peace is to switch off your ONT and router for 10 minutes (not 5, 9, 11, or 15) and then switch it back on. This will resolve ALL issues, no matter what. @Afrigirl @AfriGuy @Afrihost-Gian I am sure that since about 1995 there is software on the market that allows for the allocation of an issue to a specific agent. What do I do with all these responses? Do I select one with a response I agree with most and respond to that and ignore the rest? Do I respond to all?

lol

Who told you to go with them?

Name and shame
You mean who told me to use Afrihost? Actually, there was a time when their support was ok but lately, all you get is the standard 1st line on the chart - restart. But you'd think that it is better to have the whole team respond to a ticket but not so because they each have a slightly different reason but the same 'resolution' :)

Only one solution to this issue.

You will get results when you contact the MyBB representative of Afrihost. Send the rest home.

Tagged them in my message and did not even get a reply ;)

One of the reps should contact you soon. Gian only comes here to promote new product launches.

I recently cancelled my line with them...
Pathetic customer support.

@Afrigirl @AfriGuy are rock solid and a lot better than the call/email (whatever you want to call them) center agents. Before I cancelled, I log a fault telling them that I already restarted the router and unplugged the ONT and whatnot so that they don't waste my time, or aggravate me any further... and guess what? like a reflex action, they tell me to restart the mfk'n router again.

That's the joy with mybb reps - they aren't bound by scripts. Call center staff often seem so bogged down by procedure they can't actually proactively help you.

Employment Equity - We shall all divide the work equally, Comrade!
Well at least all 7 of them can now say they attended to a call :) I still have not replied to any of them but the devious side of me is telling me to respond to all of them with different responses and see where this goes. If I only had the time.

The bogged down is correct

I recently helped a relative from Denmark who is on a 2-year work contract get LTE via Afrihost for his flat in Sunset Beach in CT

The first agent via the phone said there was no such suburb. When I said it was close to Table View, she wanted to know which it was, Table View or this unknown suburb

The next agent said that the customer must apply on line. But he did not have service yet, so how to do? Agent was not interested

Third one said he could take details but needed proof of address, salary details, bank details. On a 90 minute phone call, supplied all these details

Never heard from Afrihost again

Two weeks later, signed up with RAIN. Seems to work ok

Hello. I apologise for the inconvenience you are experiencing. I am looking into the issue at hand.

To further troubleshoot poor international streaming, I will need you to run a couple of traceroute tests to different servers with your PPPoE and the test account I sent via PM. I have requested a test account directly from Openserve.

Afrihost support bad?
Just experienced the polar opposite for the howmanyith time with Afrihost. Re-allocated to a new house. Changed from Openserve to Metrofibre, stressed as hell as how it will work. Well? ... went super seamless. Every person I interacted with was super efficient. Don't know why OP had a bad experience
@Afrigirl @AfriGuy

Afrihost has the best support in the game.

Unfortunately now when I have an issue, I’m told to send a PM with my email address, only to then be told to turn the device off and on again.

Are you still experiencing an issue? I don't have any messages from you.

bunch of clowns to be honest, can get better tech support at the petrol station. having dealt personally with Gian had a very poor experience

Thanks @Afrigirl I'll do this today and sent you the results.

HAHA @Afrigirl , maybe because I do have a life? I don't sit on forums all day, the only reason I'm here is to try and get attention from a afrihost rep. I'll do the tests today.
