Oke according to Investec we are 9 mionths behind the USA. How can we be the last to be hit by the global recession but the first to be out of it?

i can remember the CPI incident back in 2003 or somewhere around there. i seem to recall there might have been another incident.

but it is better that growth is pointing upwards, albeit slowly, rather than downwards.
 
I agree but by no means are we over this yet.

Counting chickens before they hatch IMO.

As one of the developing economies, we have typically higher growth rates than the developed economies. This means it takes longer to drop to below zero growth, and it's quicker to rise again.

Oke coo, but what made us grow? only gold?

Or is it because our groth is 2 its easier to to to - 2 and back. As too 20 to -2 to twenty again?

So.. we should remember that we have a great influx of moneys being generated with regards to the World Cup.:D
 
well jobs are picking up slightly for last month or two.

I don't get this growth thingies though because realistically.. what do they look at? I mean there is only so much cost cutting and contracting/killing off that can be done before it rebounds. Of the developing countries we are one of the last to pull out :(
 
After 4 years think of this post. The recession is going to last for 4 years.
