[The Register] Cortana Android beta goes public

Microsoft's Cortana-on-Android project, first announced in May, has now evolved to the point at which the virtual assistant has been released as a beta.

The public beta, announced by Susan Hendrich, says the aim is to make Cortana “the companion to your Windows 10 PC, extending Cortana's functionality across any device you carry”.

One caveat : "Hey Cortana" doesn't work yet, you'll have to invoke her manually...
