Yeah. An unbelievable talent that SA lost as I seem to recall that he went overseas at an early age? Or was he seriously injured and never played again. Can't remember.

He did have a bad knee injury early on in his Stormers career then moved to Bath played there for awhile.

All Black Team to face Boks on Saturday -:

Beauden Barrett, Will Jordan, Rieko Ioane, Jordie Barrett, Mark Telea, Richie Mo’unga, Aaron Smith, Ardie Savea, Sam Cane (captain), Shannon Frizell, Scott Barrett, Brodie Retallick, Tyrel Lomax, Codie Taylor, Ethan de Groot. Replacements: Samisoni Taukei’aho, Tamaiti Williams, Nepo Laulala, Tupou Vaa’i, Dalton Papali’i, Finlay Christie, Braydon Ennor, Caleb Clarke.

Not a bad team at all. We are gonna have to be switched on from the start.

I was kind of hoping to see Damian McKenzie retained, purely from a goal kicking perspective. He was also a little erratic off the tee against Argentina and in such a tight match as is predicted for Saturday, that could have been a factor.

The South African rugby team victories are always short lived. They do play boring and predictable rugby. They get into a state of euphoria when they win....just to flop the very next game.
Tell us you know nothing about rugby, without telling us you know nothing about rugby.

Interesting that the NZ coach said Richie was always going to start this game. Damien rested because of his workload. Biggest NZ loss might be Whitelock - given longer to recover although he is available

That can be a good or bad thing. Hope discipline stays intact.

Yeah for sure. But I'd like to think that it's already been discussed about channeling that emotion in a positive and constructive way. I also don't think NZ is the team to try and deliberately get under the skin and goad the Boks into off the ball nonsense. That's Australia and Nic White's job. The matches between NZ & SA have traditionally been played in good spirit.

I forgot about this thread, someone was arguing with me earlier this year (maybe last year) that Nienaber is not as good as Rassie and is not bok coach material because we lost one or two games. Also that Willie is not our best fullback. Then I told them that Rassie and Nienaber has the same brain and that they are delusional if they think there is anyone better than Willie at the moment for our fullback. Well now that we determined that you were wrong we can move on.

Also some interesting information, these gameplans that we are playing in the championship will only partially be used in the worldcup, Rassie has something else planned in terms of gameplan. I heard Frans Malherbe said at like some boere meeting that the current gameplan that they are playing will almost acting as a "base" for them to start applying their new game plan in the world cup. He also said if anyone can think they know what is going on in Rassie's head they are wrong. He took an example and asked the crowd what they think the boks practice/exercise the most often... the learn the rules of the game so they are just sitting there studying... imagine that.
