The Rugby thread

It seems the England fans there are starting to celebrate victory with 30 minutes to go.

This Irish team is something else, how the fucc they did not win the last WC…….

Honestly not even the Boks can beat them, yet the Irish can’t win a WC…

Must be “ the luck of the Irish” or refs decisions.

Who knows…………

@Speedster some inconsistency with head contact and red/ yellow bunker boys decision so far during the opening weekend of the so called 6 “nations”, your professional and unbiased opinion will be appreciated!

England celebrating at 30mins once again .... clueless the other 45 and then a panic wake up at the end. Ireland weren't even good and still put them away. Shyte game

I only watched the England/Ireland game. Links to the incidents in question?

52-16
41-13
45-12

Our last three results against Wales. Mostly without our top team playing. All three games in Europe too.

Wales are just dire lately.

Rock bottom. You know a team has reached rock bottom when you start feeling sorry for them after each result.

Getting to quarter final is a win for any Northern hemisphere team.

Another good player lost! This is the reason why the Lions remain perenial basement dwellers, we just don't keep our top players.
from a SA fan perspective, It must suck losing up and coming players to overseas clubs, but there is an advantage as well to SA fans, the lads can come home with experience and a new skill set and still play for the Boks if the are picked for the team.

From and England fans perspective, at least he is going to a Japanese club and not an English club, We get to have some English players have some game time and not sit on the bench or bring oranges on at half time for SA imports.

Privately owned clubs in ENgland are a phuk up.

Saracens is owned by Francois Pienaar.

Imagine if the Blou Bulle or WP was owned by Jonny Wilkinson or even better, Owen Farrell.

Importing English players to take over SA provincial teams... Would you guys be happy with that????

Actually, now that i think about, this would actually be beneficial for English rugby, great learning curve and experience, great all year round weather, just need RFU to allow these English players to come back home and represent England at international level.

Basically have the freedom of Rassie.

Quick question. Twice England ran the ball out from behind their try line. Is this one of the new rules i.e. you cannot dot the ball for a 25 drop out? Or where the player's nuts?

I couldn't find this law change on the web.

The player (was the same one both times), was nuts. In the first occasion he had touched the ball before it crossed the try line, so it would've been a 5m scrum against his team if he'd touched down. The second time he was just stupid.
