C'mon the Argies. Putting one over on the Aussies would throw this championship wiiiiiide open!

Let's hope. Hope. Sigh I'm tired of hoping for something can't we just have a like 3 years where the Boks are unstoppable and just win everyone and everything?

We deserved to lose that.

The Boks were never going to repeat the energy from last week. Something that has plagued us for ages (decades).

We are unbeatable when we front up, but we have one, maybe, maybe, two such games up our sleeves in a year and never consecutively.

The Boks would be better off playing NZ in Durban.

Mkre slippery ball for thrm to deal eith and not so many cape crusaders.

Dry, hard fields suit them.
Problem is Nienaber is not Rassie. He is a poor clone. The All Blacks adapted their game plan after the loss last week. We didn't. World rugby has evolved to make the coach, analysis of the opposition and referee and the game plan on the day more important. We expected to run over the All Blacks but they had plans to spoil our kick chase, steal more ball from the breakdowns, getting the ball wider quicker to negate the forwards and put pressure on our lineouts. We just rely on box kicks and bomb squad. We had enforced injuries that were replaced with weak replacements so our bomb squad had to come on too early. Our box kicks were not as effective as last week and the players just didn't adapt. We had no plan for us being weak at our usual strength the line-outs. Our wide tackling was poor we lead to long line breaks and tries.

This years championship is weird. NZ playing SA twice in SA then next week they play Argentina twice in Argentina and we play Australia twice in Australia.

Never mind NZ, Ireland would have demolished us today. I believe if they can keep with their current team playing as cohesively in all aspects of the game they have a better than good chance at winning the RWC
Considering Ireland have never got past the Quarters at RWCs, that is a bold claim.

Not convinced it's Nienaber's fault.

Jake, Heyneke and so on would have had similar issues.

It's a Saffa pshyche. We turn up and then we tell ourselves we are ready for the next.

As I said, always been that way. We beat NZ 3 times in 2009 and lost on end of year tour. Beat Australia convincingly in Brisbane for the first time in 38 years in 2013 and then lost other games.

We have one-off irrepressible games. Our physical style is not consistent enough.

Ireland of all teams have the balance correct this time in my opinion.

It’s number 9s fault, he had a piss poor game
As a team, if you are playing back to back games, don’t use the same strategy just because you think the opposition are having a run of poor form, you need to respect your opponents but also hammer them when they are down

It is mini tours.

NZ teice in SA
SA twice in AUS
ARG & SA split home & away.

NZ twice home to ARG
AUS twice away to ARG
NZ and AUS split home and away

Next season is the reverse.

Of course, it is a RWC year next year so Australia will dodge two floggings.

We have played almost exclusively in Australia of late due to coronachan.

A bad draw is surmountable. Having your hand forced in who you have to pick, is not.

We started this game with a 1.73 meter prop and a 1.75 meter hooker. That is too short for football, not to speak of a forward in rugby. If you are shorter than 90% of computer geeks on the mybb forum how are you going to face up against the All Blacks. Who selected them? Nienaber. SA game is about enforcing our game from the start. You can't with that selection

Then you have Mr I will suck your dick to select me, Jesse Kriel who can't tackle to save his life but somehow convinced all his coaches his whole rugby career that he is a good defender, then easily let a forward run past his outside at the start of a match while on the wing to put us under so much pressure that we ended getting a player a yellow card to stop an almost certain try. Playing 15 men against 12 men and 2 half men the All Black had time to build up their shattered confidence.

Ox in particular has given many a foe something to think of.

Height is not an issue for props. Usually you try to keep your front row relatively the same height as far as possible. That means if all are close to 1.8m, fine. If all are close to 1.9m, fine.

That is why it makes sense to change all 3 at a time.

I get the idea not many played the game. It looks easy on screen. It isn't.

Relax. It is just a rugby game.

So Australia handed a snotklap of note and just like that, Argentina go to the top of the log. All to play for in round 3.

The 2 shortest players in history of rugby being started against the All Black forward pack and you say height is not an issue?

I know it is not easy on screen and that size is important. Hence why I raised it. To play reach for a dream the year ahead of a world cup against the all blacks is not on unless the coach intentionally wanted to give the All Blacks a false sense of superiority.

I wouldn't make too much of it.

The same set may win a QF next year.

I do think we will not make it past the group stages. We are too cocky.

Scotland to ambush us and Ireland just better.

You read it here first.

They were not. They had moments in defence that were kak. They actually played well.

And once again I would like the opinion of the thread about this mindset in general.

As expected, when I opened my socials you see saffas all over commenting well done AB's well played good game etc. We need to really stop being the nice guys for Christ sake. If you are a boks supporter, it wasn't actually a good game for us. We lost the Freedom Cup yesterday. Why is it okay? Why do people say that it's okay you can't win them all?

No one from the AB congratulated us last week when we smashed the AB's. They wanted answers. They called the AB's and coaching staff out. They wanted head to roll. No one said it was good game well done South Africa well played and that is why irks me the most. If we are happy with not being able to win them all and happy with the performance yesterday, then we surely aren't even in the running to be the best in world rugby and it's sad.

I mean look at this. We lost the Freedom cup but people celebrate a good game. What would this caption have been if it was the World cup?

Sadly I feel like we need to prolonged loosing spree for people to wake up.
