I don't understand how the TMO's keep on getting decisions so wrong. There's no way that a certain try would have been scored there. Moody's clearly overrun the ball. They are taking forever to reach a decision and then still get it wrong

We're trying to play positive against a really inexperienced young Welsh team.

I blame the ref for making a bad call, but blame the TMO for letting it take that long.

Question is simple, can you say woth high level of certainty that try would have been scores? Based on time taken and number of replays, surely the answer is no.

Penalty try decisions are based on probability, if you're so uncertain then doesn't that answer the question of probability?

The laws make no mention about the degree of probability though..

A penalty try is awarded between the goal posts if foul play by the opposing team prevents a probable try from being scored, or scored in a more advantageous position. A player guilty of this must be cautioned and temporarily suspended or sent off. No conversion is attempted.

For my mind it was 50/50, end of the day, slapping the ball into touch is always a penalty, doing it in a potential try scoring situation is asking for trouble.

Worst referee decision I have seen in a long time. Should have been no penalty try or yellow card. Ball was going out and the Welsh winger just clumsy tried to grab it after Moodie ran past it.

He clearly slapped it into touch, it was always going to be a penalty. The penalty try is debatable.
