So because they don't have a prop and both have HIA they can get an extra loose forward and uncontested scrums while we have to have 3 front rowers.

Well done, our boys came through hard eventually, our rolling maul almost impossible to stop and really enjoying the expansive game we are now playing. And that long curse a few years back of no tries is far behind us. Lovely 2 tries by Marx!

The 2 BP plus our PD in the last 2 games should keep us in the running, even if we lose 1 match to NZ. Mind you their PD is looking pretty good too after their hammering of the Argies today.

We can go into our next phase against the Kiwi's with humble confidence.

They say Matt Williams gets a stiffy when he sees uncontested scrums

Uncontested scrums at test level is a farce. This was an obvious ploy by Oz and took most of the onus from our attack, especially in those conditions.

If this keeps on being allowed, the opposing side should be then allowed to sub their 2 props for loose forwards.

Great win for Boks, great play in very bad conditions.
Uncontested scrums is not that great for the weaker team. Our big forwards rest during scrums and have more energy for mauls and general play. It was obvious how we started to maul them so they have no defense when they had fewer big guys on the field and our big guys was rested.
