It seems going by this comment and others by Rama like "We aren't constitutionally obligated to provide power to SA", the ANC has resigned from actually governing. It makes sense since all they do is "eat" anyway...

That's the thing, you trust that your coalition partner has done the necessary checks and work. You can expect other parties in the coalition to do their work for them, ey?

It wasn't the DA's (or anyone else's) responsibility to check COPE's candidates. IMHO The incidents in JHB and TSH have proven COPE to be an unreliable coalition partner...

Exactly, that's why I said the DA "government"/"administration". Any party leading the government must do it and cannot leave it to other political parties or point fingers.

So the DA must scan all other parties in the coalition's candidates always? So they have to do other parties' work for them?
 
Western Cape govt granted interdict against Nehawu protesters
The Cape Town Labour Court has granted the Western Cape government an interdict against public servants affiliated with the National Education, Health, and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu).
Both the department of health and social development sought a court interdict against Nehawu protesters. The order was granted on Friday.
It comes after four days of protest action, primarily isolated to the Khayelitsha area, which caused some disruption of healthcare services at Khayelitsha District Hospital (KDH) and Michael Mapongwana Community Day Centre.
Nehawu and several other public servant unions have been locked in a wage dispute with the government.

Nah, there I can agree.

But what shocks me is the blatant resignation of duty by Rama and the ANC. If they aren't up for it anymore, why don't they just call early elections and be done with it?

crazy conspiracy time. what if just what if Ramapoesa is purposely doing so bad that he collapses the ANC in order to protect his billions from hyper inflation :eek:
