Same.

I don't get how people think "OH NO, DA RIGHT WING NOW". The DA just moved from centre-left to centre post-Maimane (You'll notice a lot of times that it's the Maimane stans and other opponents who insist on this).

Yes, a UF coalition.
With Mashaba sitting riiiiiight at the back bench. Don't want the power to go straight to his head.

Valid point, I just don't see a better alternative.

So if the choice is for voters to vote ANC or ASA... I'd say choose ASA any day of the week without a doubt...

I'm just not sold on ASA being a viable long term party at this point, and theyve done things that are more than enough for them to never get my vote.

This only tells one side of the story and conveniently leaves out a few other facts.
  • So the first one is that we do not have a accurate estimate how much farm is owned by whom. So the 79% is very speculative. It also neglect to state how much farmland is held by the state.
  • It does not take into account the land claims that was settle with payouts rather than land. If money was not an option it would be a totally different %, much higher.
  • It also does not state that in very few cases where land was given pack the recipients was able to make a success of farming. In the majority of the cases thriving farms was turned into wastelands with assets stripped.
  • Lastly no "black people" lived in the WC (the winelands) when the Europeans arrived so very few legit claims plus you need serious money to venture down that path.

Yes, I will also not vote ASA.

The problem is many blacks will not vote DA no matter what because it is perceived as a white party. That is why I think it is good that we have an alternative for them.

They flip flop just like EFF, maybe that's why they like them so much?

Does that include the ones living on the train tracks?
I guess? /shrug
Does that order say they have to be relocated to alternative accommodation?
The municipality insisted it had done everything it could to help people get off the streets, but that not everyone accepted assistance.
Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis said they were expecting a final order to be granted in April.
"No person has the right to reserve a public space as exclusively theirs while indefinitely refusing all offers of shelter and social assistance. The city is working to add 420 more shelter beds to safe spaces in the CBD, with a R77 million budget for care interventions to help people off the street this year alone."
Not explicitly in the order. But they plan to do it anyway. That's how I see it anyway.
